I have an employee in beauty salon who signed an agreement before she was employed not to join another company within 1 km radius within her previous shop. I am in a shop within 1 km from her and operating similar trade.

Like advice on whether this is enforceable in law ?

The agreement was signed more than 2 yrs ago, and the company did not give the employee a copy of this agreement, so she does not know what she has signed. Is this legal ?

My tax preparator said home improvement expenses cannot be claimed but I think she is wrong. I hear many people do it for this purpose.

I earned my MBA in 2004 and have been turned down for job after job. I worked as a Realtor while in grad school and have not had a single offer/reply for any resume or application. The only negative I can think of is less than stellar credit but it is from many years ago (5 to 6). Are there any job ideas/suggestions? Since graduation I have only found manual labor jobs. I'm not above such jobs, but I'd like to find something where I can use my mind instead of my back. I would like to find employment in this region (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Florida) if possible.

I looked online, and found it, but they want $17 for shipping and handleing. I want to find it locally so I can;
1) see it before I buy it
2) save the cost of shipping

Many companies have a "diversity council". As far as I know, none of them have an "excellence council".

Hi, I was contacted the other day by the Ad Campaign Manager for Court TV. Here's what they said:

"Hello - I am currently working with Court TV on an ad campaign and would love any information you can send me about advertising with MakeHimPay.net. Please send a media kit via email or FedEx - my deadline to receive this information is Tuesday and I would love to consider your site for this project. Looking forward to hearing from you - thanks!"

I've never been contacted like this before and really have no idea how to price advertising on my site.

I'm willing to display standard banner ads including one on the home page, text linking within relevent content and think that a video type format (possibly a commercial for Court TV relating to issues on my own site) would be most effective.

Please review my site at www.makehimpay.net and advise on prices to offer the Ad Campaign Manager. I really need a starting point or some kind of price reference as I have absolutely no clue about what kind of price would be acceptable.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Our apartment complex was bought in December, 2005 and the company that bought the complex said they would honor all tenants' leases until they were completed. Then they immediately began a condo conversion.
We did not choose to buy there and when our lease was up June1, 2006 we left the apartment in very good order.

We have not obtained our security deposit back as of this date.
The condo managers say we have to get the security deposit back from the new owner of our apartment/condo because the unit was sold and closed on in March 2006 before our lease was
up.
The condo managers further state that if the unit had been closed on after we vacated then THEY would be responsible for returning our security deposit., not the new owner..

I never heard of such a thing--we have no idea who bought the unit and the condo management has not been forthcoming with that info.

The condo managers said we would get the deposit back but I don't believe them and think they are stalling.
