I think you should learn now to budget what money is available to you and give thanks that your parents are able to afford you a 300 dollar budget. Some people have to make do with much less than that. When you are grown and out on your own you will have to budget...so get used to it. If 300.00 is not enough for you...think of a way to earn some of your own money.

That is plenty honey but you better not go to the mall. Go to TJMaxx, Marshalls, Ross, Value City, The Resale Stores (Salvation Army has fab jeans and t's), AJ Wright and places like that. Buy a couple of really cool trendy jackets that you can wear over things. http://www.vibetheboutique.com/images/site_pics/dn46lrg.jpg Like that. Get a few belts that have sparkle and bling (rhinestones, sequins) and you'll be so hot. Concentrate on a few great jeans (Miss Vigoss is my favorite and they're sold at Marshalls and TJMaxx, sometimes for $20.00!) and use the bulk of your cash on cute t's. You can do it. That's a fortune if you play your cards right, girlie! Have fun!! And don't forget about layaway...you can even sell some of your old clothing at Plato's closet or Once Upon a Child. They take your size and give you cash which means...more clothing money for you!

Nobody ever thinks they get enough for anything.

But a really creative person should be able to make $300 go a lot further than most, and maybe get some compliments for their ability to think past the obvious.

By the way, the most I ever got was $50, but that was way back in the last millenium.

Hell yes, I got £50 and that had to go on my school UNIFORM. Just be greatful you're not in the UK, pretty much every school here has set clothes, so parents don't give their kids any money to buy school clothes, except for their uniform!

Yes shop wisely at the right places and get enough outfits to keep in clothed until thanksgiving then ask for another shopping spree.

Sounds just about right to me:

Shoes ... $45.

Jeans ... 5 @ $30 = $150

T Shirts ... 5 @ $13 = $65

Socks ... $15

Underwear ... $15

Belt ... $10

Or you could buy fewer jeans and T shirts at a higher price but you'd have to do laundry more than once per week.

Quit being an ungrateful money grubber. Take what you were given and be happy with it. Whether you think it is enough or not doesn't seem to be part of the equation, it is how much you have. Deal.

if you go to a public school - yes , definitely - go to walmart they have nice clothes for cheap prices or even kohl's

if you go to a catholic school - maybe- buy what you do need and then you can get a second pair if you have enough- i suggest school-bells(if you have one where you live) or if your school is like mine then you can get like some clothes that don't fit previous owners- they'll give it to you for like 2 dollars then you can buy something you want like a movie

i hope i helped - have fun shopping

I don't plan on spending that much for school clothes. I'm gonna spend as little as I can get by on, so I'll have more for other stuff, like plane tickets.

Seriously this kills me, I'm not getting anything for back to school this year being that my father is smoking it all up in his little "addiction". Even if I was, I could only "hope" for 300, you people kill me. Get real, and get thankful. **** could be way worst.
