im african american and my hair is really thick. im trying to go for a new color. my hair is originally dark brown and black. im trying to go for a lighter color and everytime i put the color in it, it never takes. its as if i never tried to put color in it. am i doing something wrong or using the wrong brand? PLEASE HELP ME!!

I had an excellent working hair straightener that was in great condition. Well, my baby brother musta pulled it outta the drawer (don't worry it WASNT on thankfully) and he i guess played with it. Well somehow the little monkey pulled out the spring that keeps the hair straightener up. Now it is just flat like a smooshed sandwich. And what's more, he took out this thing that holds it together so now it's slanted as well. I think it might work better if I find some support for where the spring was.. any ideas?? I need some help!! Please answer! Thanks in advance!

Does anybody know a site that shows how to do mexican hair styles? explain it to me? if you don't know what i mean by mexican hairstyles, i mean like what's popular with the mexican girls they likes use a lot of rubber bands on there head, etc sometimes twist things, use gel, braids, whatever... its usually really creative. any ideas?

My hair is straight, but i want to make them super super straight fot parties, the iron i have right now sucks, it takes me forever to get the results. My best friend uses regular iron, the same one she irons her clothes, i tried it, and i love it - it works so fast, results are imasing. But it damages hair too. I dont care how much is it going to cost me, but i need good hair straightening iron. Any sugestions??

I have a round face.....but I am kinda lanky (about 5'7" and a little over 100 lbs) so long hair kinda makes me look lankier......my hair is also pretty thin and has to be straightened with a straightener to look presentable....any ideas for a good haircut?....right now my hair is shoulder length.

This is a pic of me about 2yrs ago when I had my hair dyed blonde (professionally)...although I am now back to my natural dark brown colour (which you can see at the roots)

I want to go blonde again but can anyone help me find a blonde that will suit my colourings, because that blonde is too ''yellow'' and made me look '*even more* pale than I already am.

I have really long brunette hair (as in past my boobs), but I have been thinking about cutting it. Im 16, tall and lean(5'8.5", 125lbs), and im a runner. Long hair gets really annoying during a 3 mile run. lol. but im not sure if i should cut it or not, and how short i should cut it.
