My Hair is really stuburn. It will not stay put. My hair is naturaly kinky but i can sort that out with straightners. The problem that i have is that some of my hair starts to frizz when there is moisure in the air and i don't know how to stop it.

I have very curly, kinky hair too that frizzes easily. The key to getting rid of it is moisture in your hair. The best book I ever read was a little book called Curly Girl that's available on Amazon. After reading this book, I stopped straightening my hair and started wearing it curly and I don't get frizzy anymore. One of the keys is to wash your hair with conditioner and to stop using shampoo or using it very rarely. I thought this was crazy until I started doing it. Check it out. I don't do everything the author says, but I do some of it (like the conditioner thing - I shampoo with a very mild shampoo once a week or when my hair is really dirty). I actually like my hair now for the first time ever.

Well if you have 200 - 500 dollars then you can look into going to the salon and getting your hair straightened with the chi straightening system (lasts 4 -6 months) and your hair just dry's straight (so i would think that would prevent your hair from frizzing from mouisture)... or you could look into thermal reconditioning.... its more expensive..but it does the same as the one above... lasts around 6 months and you just retouch the roots when they grow out.... but its supposed to be less damaging... or at least thats what i've read (and i've researched it a lot).

I'm going to do one of the two in the next few weeks.... so I do believe both will work (I have friends who have tried both).... or else I wouldnt try it myself.

It might sound crazy, but as the last stage of washing your hair, rinse in a downward direction with cold water - it cleans off any residue of shampoo/conditioner which can cause dullness and frizz, and closes the cutilcles making it appear more smooth and shiny. I find John Frieda Frizz-Ease really helpful applied to damp hair - you only need to use a little bit, just smooth it through your hair. Have you tried blow-drying instead of straightening? It might give more lasting effects as well as making your hair more soft and shiny.

I have the same problem, i used to use teeda hair straightner, it was brilliant, but it has been discontinued. i tried the boots hair straightner but it's not a patch on teeda, i would love to know how to control my hair when moisture gets to it there must be something.

I have the same problem with my hair and i found a really cool way to fix it. After you've straightened your hair put pure liquid soap in your hands and run it through your hair. It works for me.

I have that same problem. The only thing that works for me is the Garnier Fructise leave-in anti-frizz conditioner.

Mixed Chicks...look them up on the net... great stuff. Use it two ways:
1. for a curly look apply their leave-in to clean wet hair and air dry.

2. for straight looks shampoo, rinse, deep condition, rinse, dry then apply leave-in to the tips and do your heat work.

Good luck
