I have really long brunette hair (as in past my boobs), but I have been thinking about cutting it. Im 16, tall and lean(5'8.5", 125lbs), and im a runner. Long hair gets really annoying during a 3 mile run. lol. but im not sure if i should cut it or not, and how short i should cut it. Do you have any ideas? pictures would be a huge help too! :) oh and i live in arizona, i dont know if that changes everything but hey, it might. lol.

Get it cut about 2 inches shorter and get layers. Then it will look fabulous but you can also put it in a pony tail for running!

Arizona with long hair. You're brave. I remember when I lived there with my long hair. I was roasting on those days with 115 degrees at 10am. I feel for you.
I would keep it braided for the running so it isn't all over the place. Cutting it? Then you've got to think about those strands that won't reach the ponytail. Ponytails can become a tangled nightmare not mention if it's windy and it blows into your face while running. One braid down the back and it won't be flying all over the place. For the strays, use a headband.
Braids are very versatile and there are lots of different styles of them. My personal fav is the fishtail. Even the little strays stay put.
Good Luck. Keep running.

Well, I decided to cut my hair, which was about your length, for summer, and boy I noticed how much easier it was to deal with while running! I'm a long distance runner (30-40 miles per week). It wasnt as hot and sticky on my neck. I had it cut to just at my shoulders. Its the shortest I've ever had it cut. I really didnt like the look as well as my long hair, but thats just me. You might love the look on you. And remember, hair always grows back! It's grown back 2 inches on me, since the beginning of summer.

If your problem is your hair being annoying, you will need to leave it long enough to continue tying it up out of our face....(no matter how long ....) so go short gradually and sooner or later you might just decide to get rid of it all and have a lovely short boy cut and trust me....... it will be so easy for you and so cool and virtually maintenance free!

I would get it cut to your shoulders with lots of layers. I live in AZ too and I think it makes a huge different. It's freakin' hot here! lol. Maybe some bangs if that won't bug you too much.

I had long hair like that until I was in my late 20's, once I cut it, I never desired long hair again. I keep mine shoulder length now and I'm old now :) brunettes rule !

I also had long brunette hair, I just got it cut, just below my shoulders. I have a layered face frame, so my hair stays out of my face, and I have long layers. It's really cute, you should try it!

Don't cut it! Long hair is beautiful and takes years to achieve.

I would maybe... cute a few inches off. If you're a runner, or you could just put it up in a messy bun or something while you run! =D
