I had an excellent working hair straightener that was in great condition. Well, my baby brother musta pulled it outta the drawer (don't worry it WASNT on thankfully) and he i guess played with it. Well somehow the little monkey pulled out the spring that keeps the hair straightener up. Now it is just flat like a smooshed sandwich. And what's more, he took out this thing that holds it together so now it's slanted as well. I think it might work better if I find some support for where the spring was.. any ideas?? I need some help!! Please answer! Thanks in advance!

Oh. P.S. Please don't suggest buying a new straightener. I saved up big time for that one and now I'm broke. =[

If you can find the missing parts (hopefully he didn't eat them!) See if the company that made it has a web site for ordering repair parts that has an exploded view diagram of the unit. It should show the relationship of how the various parts go together. From it, you can tell 1] if you have recovered all the parts, and 2] some idea of how they go together. Hopefully he hasn't busted anything and the pieces can just be snapped back together. If you have a friend who has the same model straightener, you might be able to study it and see how the spring and other parts fit into it. Good luck!
