If I use blond colorants to dye my hair, it will turn out to be light brown- Caramel color. I have a lot of grays on the side of my head. Black dye doesn't color it for some reason, it's still white. I'm wondering if my gray hair will be less visible if I dye it into light shade?
Judging from my pic for my avatar. I'm asian

A while back I had my hair done professionally and it was platinum blonde. I am a natural blonde just not that light. Well, as my roots started coming in it was getting pretty bad. I wanted to dye it just back to my natural color because I am pregnant and don't want to have to keep doing it over again. Well, I used Loreal Couleur Experte 8.2 which is one of the lighter shades. The top of my hair looks great where I did the highlights however in the front toward the bottom my hair is GREY or purplish depending on the light. Is there ANYTHING I can do? I have tried a blonde shampoo and even some of that John Frieda hair glaze stuff. Nothing is working. I looks a little better but it is still really noticeable. Especially when I show up to work, I was platinum on Friday and grey on Monday.... I can just hear the "blonde who dyed her hair gray" jokes. Please Help!!! I went to their website to get the number but something is wrong with the website and it won't go to the help pag

I want to find a good quality salon that have great color that lasts a long time but not so expansive. What do you suggest? I am located in San Francisco but wouldn't mind going anywhere around the bay area.

If I leave my hair unwashed for more than 2 days, it gets VERY greasy and oily! This is very frustrating because I style my hair with a flat iron often and when I wash it, my hair loses its luster and style from my flat iron, which means I have to straighten my hair more, which means I need to use more heat, which is bad.
I can't ever leave my hair the way it is because it is just like a really huge UGLY mass.
What products do you recommend I use to make my hair less greasy? Where can I buy? What are some home remedies for coping with this grease?
PLEASE HELP!

I get a curly perm every 3 months or so and my hair is so soft, light and silky when I leave the salon, but as soon as I wash my hair about a week later, it gets dry and no matter how much product I put in, it never really goes back to that same softness!
My hair gets so dry I only wash it once a week and my usual routine consists of:
1. Wash with a moisturizing shampoo (I use Dark & Lovely 3-in-1 conditioning shampoo).
2. Deep condition (Dark & Lovely ultra cholesterol). I put a heating cap on my hair and leave on for about an hour.
3. Wash off conditioner with lukewarm water and squeeze out excess water
4. Apply John Frieda Frizz-Ease serum to wet hair and leave to dry

Then, as it dries, it turns real frizzy and looks like an afro!! I've been so frustrated in the past that I've braided my hair and gotten a weave - anything to hide my own hair and sweep my problems under the rug, so to speak, but I really want to be able to wear my own hair!!
Any ideas would be appreciated!

ok, so i cut my hair in may really short into a "concave" jaw length bob. starting at the shortest point in the back, it tapered down and got longer in the front. now it's grown out, and the layers just don't work anymore. i want to grow it out and end up with a normal shaped, longish hair cut, with a V shape in the back (with the front pieces shorter.) i need to trim it though, and take out a lot of the bulkiness, cause the layers are getting weird lumps and flips in them. any suggestions on how to trim the minimum amount possible, while trying to gradually get the front shorter than the back?

I hate my image, I want change, starting with a haircut. I have a roundish face shape and blonde hair that tends to poof up and curl a little. What would be the best hairstyle for me? And not something too preppy please, I'm emo. OH YEAH! And it can be something that needs straightening, but I'd prefer it was something that looks fie straight or not. Thanks!

I've heard naturally red hair is difficult to dye..if this is true...do you think naturally auburn red hair will 'take' brown hair dye? Why/whynot?

If you know the answer please share your info! If your just going to recommend going to a professional or not dying it at all then go lecture someone else, because I don't care what you have to say.

Hi,

I am growing hair and want to trim my hair very little and also remove the broken, damaged hair. But when I say this to a hairdresser, she doesn't understand.

What's the best way to tell this, or is there a term for this process? Basically a maintenance cut for someone growing hair.

Thanks!

Do you think it's okay to use pantene pro-v on my 2 year old hair? Or can you suggest something else to keep it healthy and shiny? Also is it okay to blow dry her hair at 2 years old?
