I have medium length hair that is fairly straight (with a little wave that can be coaxed out), and it's pretty thick. I have a 1 inch curling iron and I just want pretty loose spiral/banana curls all over my head that will A) last and B) not take forever to do. Any suggestions? I need help ASAP! Thanks!

i tried to strip my hair blond when it was red, but it turned orange. didn't work out.

This is my first post. So please, be gentle. Lol.
Here goes.
I'm going to dye my hair using Special Effects color dye, and I need my hair to be really light. Right now; it's black. Lol. Naturally brunette but the problem is that my hair has tons of layers of black dye over it from the past two years of redying it black. I'm wondering which is the best BLEACH to use, to get it as close to white as possible. My friend uses Manic Panic v.40 bleach, but I've heard that Manic Panic products are not that good. Which bleach would you use(remember, I have to bleach through alot of dye already there.)?

Also, since it's going to be semi-permanent dye that I'm using, wouldn't a color protecting shampoo be best? If so... which one would you use, to help keep the color in? Right now I'm using the Matrix straightening line, but that seems to strip my black(permanent, even) rather quickly.
Also, be sure to share any experiences you've had with the Special Effects dye, if any!

My hair never use to do this but lately it looke very oily even after I just shampooed it. I tryed switching shampoos but it is the same with all of them. Could it have something to do with my straightner making my hair look and feel brittle and oily? Can anyone suggest any good straightners or styling products? PLZ HELP!!

i went in on sat. to get my hair hair highlighted and i asked for tons and tons of blond ( i just recently dyed it brown big mistake!) well i wanted it blond again and the girl told me to get highlights well i got a full highlight and i was thinking that my hair would be blond and i left it was just dark brown with little little blonde streaks all over not looking light at all. i want to cry should i call and say i want it fixed and if i should call what shouldi say?

hi girls i have quite thick hair and would love to sometime have a classy up ponytail for meals etc like charlotte from sex and the city sports quite alot. trouble is my hair pulled back tight makes me look a bit baldy and the thick hair looks like a foxs tail. any tips??

I colored my hair for yrs used blow dryer hot rollers rtc-needless to say i damaged the heck out of it-the past yr i have been trying to revive it as much as that is possible-i dont colr trat anymore just touch up the roots--i can deal with the frizz and split ends by keeping it trimmed but the worse thing to me is that it is so dull-not a bit of shine at all-period-i have spent a small fortune on all the products that say they will restore shine-i mean i know better tehn to expect a miracle but was hoping for just a little bit of shine back-i even tried that shine happy that is ina box like hair color--------nope it didnt help at all---------please anyone know what will work a t least a little??i am going broke trying to get some shine! seriously!!

Just to let you know im a girl of color (African american) and i want to know is there a way to make my hair grow longer. The shampoo i use is Suave perfessinoals 2 in1. But i want to know is there any hair growth lotion out there to help hair grow long and fix my split end before i willing to cut my hair this weekend please help me that would really help. And sometimes i wish i had really good hair like all of my friends. Boohoo!! :( oh and my hair i like 1 inch from touching the top of my shoulder but i want it longer!!!
