I have medium length hair that is fairly straight (with a little wave that can be coaxed out), and it's pretty thick. I have a 1 inch curling iron and I just want pretty loose spiral/banana curls all over my head that will A) last and B) not take forever to do. Any suggestions? I need help ASAP! Thanks!

well i would normally suggest a trip to the salon, but since you want to do this yourself, i suggest big fat curlers. Wash your hair and towel dry, put in some mousse and maybe a holding cream or gel, roll your hair into the big fat curlers and blowdry. you should get flawless, huge, celebrity curls!

thats great that you have a natural wave. use that to advantage when your curling your hair.
give yourself plenty of time to do this so that you wont feel rushed.
perhaps you could use bedcurlers for overnight to cut down on curling time.
part your hair into small portions then wind up into the curling iron. that will help the curl to last longer.
if you havent done it before.. prepare for it not being flawless. but when you've got it as close to flawless as you can get.. then use hairspray.

also. lightly wrap your finished hair in a scarf so you can get your formal clothes on without damaging the set.

I just heard last week on one of these celeb shows that when celebritys get ready for the Oscars, etc. they do not wash their hair the day of. 'Dirty' hair is a good hairspray. As long as you do not put product in you hair every day, I would start there. then add some big curlers.

use the straightener and go half way down and flip the straightener up and all the way around until the end of your hair is pointing towards the floor it mite not work it depends on the type of straightener if its good or not. :)

you should brade your hair and sleep with it and when you take the brade out you would see that is what you want.
