I'm looking for a bob a bit like Amelie or Natalie Portman in Closer. I can't have a full on fringe because my hair won't sit that way, but Natalie Portman's is kind of a half findge anyway. I love Amelie's but it might look a bit drastic so I guess a half-way between the two. What should I ask for besides bringing a picture? In Ireland, the hairdressers NEVER listen or understand (no insult to any good Irish hairdressers reading- where are you please? I'm willing to drive miles!) and can anyone recommend a good affordable hair salon for a poor student? Thanks

What is the best way for a young man like me (27yrs old) to care for his hair? Hair loss prevention? Thickening? Hair regrowth? Strengthening? Please provide proof of your claims

How bad is too much vitamins? Would it effect hair loss or graying?

Please keep your suggestions to natural remedies, not prescriptions.

I'm a guy just wondering if there is a hair removal product that will remove hair "down there". Shaving seems painful.

I'm looking at getting my bikini area completely rid of hair. My boyfriend's offered to pay for me to have the hair lasered off - anyone know of the pros and cons of this procedure? Prices, side-effects, effectiveness etc?

I am used to brushing my hair in the shower, when it's wet.. Recently, I've read that a wet hair should never be brushed.

Blondish hair when I was a baby. Hair turned a med-brown color with ash tones as I got older. In mid-thirties now. My hair is somewhat wavy. It straightens well with a flat iron. It curls but won't hold a curl for very long with a curling iron or curlers. I tried a couple of perms in the 80's but ended up looking like a poodle. When it rains I have some uncontrollable waves. During the dry days of winter my hair is straight. I have lots of hair but the hair strands themselves are somewhat thin. My eyes are med-brown. My face is oval. I have a prominent nose, large eyes, full but subtle lips. I'm a cross between Jennifer Lopez (face shape) and Gloria Estefan (nose), if you can picture that! I'm 5'2 and in shape. I work out at the gym daily so need a style that is easy to manage. My hair is currently about 2 inches below shoulders in layers. I would love to let it grow some more or keep the current length. White/yellow toned skin, light in winter tans easily in summer.

I have wavy long hair past my waist and for some reason every shampoo & conditioner that I buy leaves a residue or buildup in my hair. At first I thought that it was dandruff but now i'm not sure. Please help.

I'd like to buy my girlfriend one of these new fangled ghd hair irons she goes on about so much these days, however I'm not sure which one to get. Either the original or the Professional variety with wider plates.....

Which one should I get and why!?

She had long and relatively thick hair although when straightened it looks a lot less. It's naturally wavy if this helps too! (Oh and she's blond but I doubt this helps! ;) )

Thanks all!!!

When I was really young, I had blonde hair, but now it's brown, and I'm considering dying it blonde - do you think it would look weird? I have brown eyebrows, but I'm bored.

My hair is always frizzy during the winter, but not the summer.
Someone said that it was the cold weather. Someone else said it was the warmer clothing/material that I wear that brings the friz.

What is the real truth about frizzy hair during the colder seasons?
