You can, but...

It's hard to tell what the next color will end up looking like, and if your hair is already dyed, the new color may not show up as well.

I would go talk to a professional.

That depends. Do you want to dye it the second time with permanent dye or another non permanent dye? Hair dye in any form requires a certain amount of harsh chemicals. My suggestion to you is to wait a few weeks and then re-dye your hair, otherwise the newer dye mixed with your first dye will dry out your hair and cause your hair to become brittle and frizz out for you.

Is this the first time you had ever dyed your hair? Dying of one's hair is exciting and can uplift your moods greatly. What was your natural hair color to start with? Decide first what color would suit your color of your skin before leaping into hair dying before you dye your hair. Go to a beauty shop and ask to see their swatches of dyed hair. Place these swatches beside your face and look in a mirror. Then you can determine which hair color would look better for your complexion.

Good luck and I hope I was some what helpful!

Okay.. if you are going from a lighter to darker.. yes it is fine.. But if you are going darker to lighter you have to go thru a little proccess. lol. I have been dying my hair black for 2 years.. I wanted to do my hair red or burgandy underneith. SO since I wanted to go light I had to do a few things.. You want to go to walmart or anywhere really. I found this stuff that strips hair color out. It isn't bleach so it won't ruin your hair. It is peroxide. It will turn your hair an orangish color..then after that you dye your hair the color you want. I went from black to burgandy. So let me know how it works!!

it's easier to dye it a shade darker from your existing color. if you decide to go lighter, go a shade more lighter than the one you choose since the effect you want won't really show. another thing, if you just dyed your hair recently, let your "head" rest from the chemicals stuff, wait like 2 weeks or so and use lots of conditioner so it won't really ruin your hair.

you can but it probably won't come out as strong depending on what colour it was before.

Blonde to black would be fine but going lighter than the previous colour may not work so well!

It might be better to wait so you get the best results

if you want to color it darker than the color it is now then yeah. If you want it lighter, nope, color will not lift up color-see a professional for either
