This is the dress:

Any ideas for shoes? I've been hunting zappos all evening, I'm a bit overwhelmed... I'm thinking something black leather with metallic accents.

Budget is ... well lets not talk about that ... lets find a shoe first.

Links would be appreciated .. thanks

not the BRA CLASP in the back,
but the 2 straps that go over your shoulder to connect the front of the bra to the back.
I just got a new bra from victoria's secret, but the clasps are SO WEIRDLY DESIGNED. it's not the usual ---- - but more like -- -- so the metal clasp is put on ANGLED, you don't just put it through the hole. am i even making sense here? it's pretty difficult to explain..

this is how original bra strap clasps looks like:
http://www.commerce.com.tw/datas/a/9/c/E0012952/showroom/2/2-11309179733.jpg

but the one i got has a clasp that is empty in the middle, looks kinda like bended antennas like this >> '---- ----'

so my point is, why does VS make such stupid bra straps that keep falling off? and how can i keep it from coming off loose? it's pretty embarrasing when a bra strap flings off!

I'm making a stuffed animal for a Christmas gift using slightly furry fabric, so I think my only option is to use the small black beady eyes that are on the stuffed animals that you buy in the store. I cant seem to find them at a local craft store though.

I had my ears repierced this afternoon. I haven't worn earrings in years, but the orignal sets of piercings hadn't completely closed up. The re-piercing didn't hurt very much, either, and the holes are clean and dry this evening. (I bought titanium earrings -- WONDERFUL for people with allergies like mine.)

My question is: should I wait the 6 to 8 weeks suggested for first time piercings to change earrings? Or would it be OK to change earrings a little sooner since this is the second time? Thanks for your help!

I'm 40 years old and I love some of the cute outfits some of you have put together on polyvore! Just a few guidelines tho!

no straght leg jeans
no leggings
Like: Charlotte Russe, Gap, NY&C, or anything you come up with
Like: accessories, shoes and handbags too
I'm 5'6" and wear a size 8--slim waist
from the South-doesn't get too cold
want to look fashionable--but not like a teenager

Thanks!

white or dark color (black, gray, dark brown, dark red, dark purple..) DEFINITELY NOT BRIGHT COLOR/ TOO MUCH PATTERN!!!
above the knees are fine, as long as they're not too short!!!
not too costume-y but has a unique look to it!!
also, accessories with it (shoes, clutch, jacket, tights,...)
thanks!!!
p/s: give me the address to buy the dress too if u happen to live in Willoughby-Eastlake, Ohio!!
thanks a bunch!!!

Hello,

Just wandering what your luck is with a Boider Opal?

I have had one break and it was replaced and it broke again. I had another one instead with a different shape, and it broke.

I have never had any opals break before. Is this usual with a Border Opal?

Thank you for your kind answer.

I do not get them wet. It is a necklace.

I'm going to an office holiday cocktail party. My dress is black, strapless, and lacy with sequins here and there. This is a conservative crowd and I don't want to make the wrong impression. Should I wear black pantyhose with my dress?
And, I would like to wear closed-toed shoes with this dress. Would it look really bad if I wore open-toed shoes with stockings? I've seen people do it before but not sure what to think about it.

I need the name of some sort of jacket that goes well with or is usually worn with a trilby hat. Basically, I always wanted a trilby because I'm into that sort of theatrical costume stuff. But when I finally spotted one in a shop window and bought it, my mum saw me wearing it in town (I should probably point out I'm 14) and thought it looked so awful that I am now forbidden to wear it. So I need the name of some sort of jacket (preferably from the same time period) that goes well with it so I can buy it and prove her wrong!

If you havent the foggiest what a trilby hat is, there's a link to one here: http://www.capsplaza.com/b_680.jpg

PS: No insults against the hat please, there's nothing wrong with being a little eccentric!!! Oh, and being an actor probably explains alot...

Hi all! I was wondering what would be good to wear to a Jazz concert at my university? It is free... so I was thinking something like a black turtleneck with jeans and black flats. Is that too casual? Do I need to go for more dressy?

Any suggestions?
