My hair just doesn't grow. Its been eight years since my last haircut and my hair has grown maybe two inches since then. Is there anything I can do about it?

I just got my hair permed and I naturally have wavy/curly hair, well, my cousin, which is training to be a hairdresser did mine and she did a great job! But part of my hair didn't take good to it. When can I get her to perm it again with out ruining my hair so this one section will take to the perm? Thanks for your help!

Hello all! So here is my problem:

I (being the idiot that I am) decided to dye my light cool brown hair darker and voila, jet black hair! This is a home dye. I freaked and two days later went ahead and got to a salon to have it dyed back...Well after several attempts at getting it right I walked out with an awful orange!
My mom then dyed over it with an ash light brown/natural light brown and it turned out ok...dark, little red but livable.
Well, 3 weeks later I'm starting to fade and my nasty orange hair is coming back steadily...it looks terrible in natural light.
Some days I'm content with growing it back, but some other days I just can't help it! I'm trying Shimmer Lights but that is no help, also fanci-full rinses.
Question is: is there any way for me to get back (other than growing out) to the natural color?? Can I buy something at home...is it even possible for a stylist? Tuff fix, or what? And how much longer must I bear with this hair?

I get so frustrated when I attempt clothes shopping. Each shop seems to sell the same clothes! So what about if I am not into the latest fashion? I can just look in one shop, and If I don't like the designs then forget shopping until the next season! Wouldn't a shop do more business if it sold DIFFERENT clothes to the other shops? I bought a pair of custom hand made 100% leather boots while on vacation in Medellin Colombia. The boots are beautiful and the craftsmanship is phenomenol. But I have a hard time trying to get them on/off. Is there a product that will help me out or do I have to stretch out leather the old fashion way with time and numerous blisters? My nails are paper thin, which is why I had acrylics in the first place. The reason I removed them is that the nail tech split the matrix on one of the nails and it has to heal. This has happened before but I just waited and when the nail gre out I went right back to acrylics. Now I want to stop wearing them and go natural.
