We're building a photo studio at my work. Cove'd walls, lighting, the works. But I can't decide what color to paint it. All black? All white?

I'll be photographing everything from table top products shots, to small vehicles.

White would be better for product shots, but black would lend itself to be more artsy. I'll need to do both, so I guess is it easier to turn a white room black when i need to or a black room white when I need to.

Any suggestions?

Images are distorted (stretched out) horizontally. I can re-submit the same job and images will print properly. Settings have been checked repeatedly when this happens, and all seem normal.

I know that it should be a fairly simple thing to do, considering they use a Polaroid camera... but I still don't even know where to start. I am looking to build my own plate-centered aura camera (where you photograph a black or navy background without the person in front of it - rather, they are touching the plate that measures their aura, like shown on www.krilian.org ).

Hi,

I want your opinion on something.

I am currently saving for a $6000 camera, I am 14 & working part-time.

The reason I want such an expensive video camera is so that it will produce professional video so I can re-sell individual clips as stock footage on the internet.

If you don't really get what I mean here are a few websites doing the same thing...

http://www.gothidef.com/
http://www.gotfootagehd.com/gf/store/nod...

So do you think I can make money selling a few clips in a pack on the internet on a website that I would make up.

I think I would only be selling to Australians as I will be filming in PAL format.

So I want other peoples opinions that know a little more about business than I do.

I have been interested in filming for 6 years now..

Please help me out as I want to know if this is just a waste of money me saving for.

thanks,
jarhead992

I am an aspiring model. And I don't have much prior experience in modeling.

What most concerns me the MOST are poses. I don't want to be unprepared. I don't want ackward positions of my hand, head, body, or weird expressions on my face so it begs the question...

How should I prepare my poses?

I would be grateful for responses to this question. I am really interested in answers. Any general tips on how I can make my photo shoot a success are also welcome.

Write to your heart's content--- I appreciate thorough explanations.

I'm a developing photographer, and the main issue I keep running into is where to shoot? Not that I'm not creative enough, I can shoot well anywhere. I sometimes shoot artistic nude and implied nude and that is not always a good idea outdoors. I don't have any friends that own a big warehouse or anything, any ideas on places that I can shoot?

I was at my friends house over the weekend and I noticed she had a picture fram with 9 pictures in it that made up 1 whole picture, like if you blew up a picture then cut it into sections and framed them like 1 inch apart. What is that called when you do that? or what are those types of pictures called?

I have found direct photos of my house on someone flickr website. The photos are obviously not for personal use and are exhibit publicly. Should this person have gotten permission? Legally, they may be able to get away with it but morally, they should have respected privacy?

Hi, gang. Got some 35mm photo's back from the chemist. I was unable to use the flash so they are a bit dark. I want to scan them, and lighten the picture so I can see it, and print a copy. My image express doesn't work. Ideas, anyone?

I am a student photographer and I am having trouble making a price list for people. I do portraits of kids, adults, couples, family, whatever. Anyway, I dont really want to offer prints of the pictures, I was thinking of just giving them all the pictures on a cd. I know alot of people who want to do pictures just to put on their myspace LOL... so what do u guys think would be a fair price to offer as I am still a student and learning but I do a good job? You can view my website (in progress of building) at www.candidlifephotos.com

Thanks!
