Like luckyoliver... can you really make money? has anyone ever tried these kind of sites?

The only "guaranteed" way of selling a picture on the web is if you market your picture to the people who are interested and looking to buy your type of picture. Then, give them a way to exchange their money for your picture. Paypal is a good starting point. Very few things sell themselves... but if you market it to the right people, then it will. Imagine if a small company named "Microsoft" never marketed their operating system to those who made computers... where would we be?

deviantart.com seems like a pretty good site to sell pictures, I have friends who sell prints on there.

If you sell it cheap enough you will eventually find a buyer.
