I will second what other people have said. Photographers make professional looking photos using cameras and lighting, not Photoshop. I am a professional wedding photographer, and I almost never use Photoshop. I do color correction in Lightroom, and only open 1 out of ever 100 photos in Photoshop if I need to retouch something. That being said, here are some tips than can help your wedding photos: 1) Crop. A lot of times, cropping tighter can make an image more powerful. 2) Convert to B&W. Do not simply convert to grayscale, but use the black and white adjustment layer tool to individually control each color channel. 3) Contrast. Use the Curves or Levels adjustments to add more contrast and pop to the image.

I generally take as many photos of the subject matter, and then filter out the ones that are under par. But in the end it is about having the best camera and knowing how to use photoshop. You cant just click a few buttons and look professional. Otherwise everyone would be professional. Try using the program as much as possible. The reason they are called professional is because they have the experience and that is what you need.

You can use Photoshop like a darkroom using the tools to enhance, edit and retouch your images. But what's most important is taking good photos to begin with.

Photoshop can only do so much. If you want to create professional photos, then they need to be captured professionaly.

Now, if you are looking for a specific photohop effect - then that's a different story.

Ummm.

Use a real camera to start with. There's no way to fix crappy pictures shot with a $150 commodity camera under low light conditions.

All you can do is adjust levels or crop.
