I am a graphic designer and took a basic photography class in school. After that I am going at it on my own but there is so much more to learn like lighting, pro gear, other formats, studio work, working with models, compositions and knowing the aesthetics of a what is considered a great shot. Most colleges and universities only offer introductory classes or entire programs that require a formal application. I just want to find an open enrollment sort of deal short of actual apprenticeships. And although I should just go out there and just shoot, my work is offering to pay for my job-related classes... Photoshop and Flash classes are so boring.

I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 on a mac for some time. I then got the newer pc version.

So, heres my problem. I used to make eyes more vibrant and lips redder, that sort of thing, using a shortcut style feature at the top. You clicked on the icon, and up came a window. In it were multiple boxes of whatever you had selected, most of the time an eyeball, each with different hues. So, there would be a bluer eye, a yellower eye, a greener eye, et cetera. You clicked on it to apply it.

The feature has either been removed or isn't displayed automatically in the pc version... and doing it the long way is very irritating; i'm editing a photo with ten people and thats twenty eyes. I really don't want to have to do it the long way. So, does anyone know a)what that feature was called b) where it is in the pc version or c)if it has been taken away?

Thankyou so much!

I just started taking photography classes today..and I'm kinda struggling..so these are my questions 1. I just taking all of the pictures that I could, is it now safe for me to take out the film and to place it in a ziplock bag or does it have to be in a place where light won't get to it (the canister?) 2. How do I load a new film? 3. What are some techniques that I should know about? 4. Any good sites that'll help a beginner like me?

I'm looking to find a photographer or photography studio that does film noir type photography. The kind of photography they would do for the starletts back in the 30's and 40's for example. Glamour, black & white type.

My price range is between $500 and $800 dollars. I know I will probably need a special flash or lens so if you have any additional information on that I would appreciate it.

I have just discovered photography using the old fashioned methord of film processing taking it into the shop and either having it developed in an hour or leaving it and returning to collect later on in the week.

Now digital have arrived you get instant photographs that you can enhance, change background then print off along with a million other options.
Which do you prefer slow snail pace or fast instant photograph?

My choice the snail but in time we will not have the option.
