I have recently become incredibly fascinated by Warhol, and his incredible impact on modern art, and I want to know more about him.

I read the article on Wikipedia, but I want to know random and obscure facts about him.

what do YOU know?

(and please don't make stuff up)

OK. I'm at the point right now where I'm starting to get quite a collection of drawings and paintings. When people compliment them or go into depth how much they like them and that they want to "buy" them, I secretly get really happy inside that its touching them in such away that they would actually want to buy them... but unfortunately I'm totally unprofessional in how to deal with the compliments. I kinda just brush it off like its not a big deal. I don't know it just makes me uncomfortable. Maybe deep down its because I just don't feel like I could even part with them at this point because they are so much a part of my recovery and so on...I don't know. Anyone else have this problem? I mean, they are almost all sitting unframed in the storage room...but does that mean I'm a mad lady for locking them up and not sending them out into the world?????

I'd like to hear from someone who knows art. In my (ignorant, perhaps) opinion, abstract art looks like someone let my baby girl loose with a paintbrush and a pallette. I know it's supposed to be the artist's feelings and moods, but I would also be able to do that. So please explain what makes one abstract painting different than another.

This painting is a "black and white" showing a mother nursing her baby (or at least the child is in a cradle hold) and the child is grasping some of her hair. It is signed "Aldo Luongo '68" in the lower left corner of the painting. I do have pictures if seeing it would help.

I have inherited two framed, very heavy paintings. They are labeled "Paragon Picture Gallery", Item #7398 & 7399, titled "Tuscan Still Life I" & "Tuscan Still Life II" by Moreau. Size is 24 x 36. Both have serial numbers. I wish to sell them, any ideas on an appropriate pricing point?

I recently bought a beautiful painting. I wonder its value.
http://www.image-upload.net/files/7826/IMG_5566css.jpg
The four characters at the very right are as follows "xiang jiang chun wu"
it means “Spring Mists over Xiang River”.
It says Xinhai year March 30.
Xinhai year is the year of the Xinhai Revolution.
The date must be March 30 1911.
Xinhai year comes every 60 years.
March 30 1971 is another possible date.
I appreciate if you can estimate its value.
Thanks in advance
