I am painting a mural in our church's nursery, for free, of course. But I now have a friend who wants me to paint a mural in a daughter's room. She has said to charge what I see fit. I don't know what to charge her. It will be a big mural, like 1/2 a wall size, hand painted. What is a good price?

I am planning to buy a 5 gallon air tank for about 20 bucks for airbrushing. I don't really know much about air tanks and how they work so bear with me. Assume the air tank is filled to about 130 psi. How can i regulate the air to come out at an adjustable 15 to 70 psi? Is that possible. And if so, will there be any air wasted? Is there a better way? Let me mention that it is for air brushing and I need it to be very constant air flow. Thank you for your responses!!

I was at the Met about 5 years ago and viewed a painting that i really liked, can't remember who the painter was. Small painting - a portrait - very dark, a man - long hair and beard in dark deep shadows. Reminded me of Rasputin. Probably painted in the late 1800 early 1900. thanks for the help

Shalloch Cottage is in Girvan and the painting was gifted to Marion From Meg in 1969, but the actual date of the painting is not known, it is just signed WILLIAM WEIR in capitol letters. I would like to know if the artist is a listed artist and has he exhibited his work anywhere.

There was a painting I saw as a child. I for the life of me can't remember the name but I need to know what the figures in it was called.
They are usually posed as dancing and hold trumpets or horns. They have extensions from their head that look kinda like hair or a headdress. They are usually not detailed with a face or any markings but are kinda like plain. Maybe african or Indian type but I can't tell.
Maybe anyone knows?

I am at a crossroads totally when it comes to my life. I was a full time artist before I started working full time, which left very little time for art. But, on the other hand, I have money to do whatever I want, with full benefits and health care. The problem is, I don't really like the job, but I like the money, and with the money I make I support my family, we don't want for anything, and I can buy all the supplies and everything I need, I just don't have a lot of time to create. I was sick last week and painted a couple of paintings and it was truly liberating. I am dreading work. LOL!!! I don't have to work, I could get along ok without it, but the extra money is always nice. It just seems I am being left behind or something. Everyone has a different opinion on what I should do. Do any of you work and do art? If so, how do you manage your time? Any suggestions? What I can do now is just come home (all tired LOL!!!) and work for a lillte while, not too inspiring. Help! SD

i have two very vibrant colourful paintings (they could be oil) that i have no knowledge about. 1 has a a kind of island setting with black characters climbing palm trees and the other is a black boy fishing on a boat. They belonged to my grandmother who has passed, therefore leaving me unable to ask wher they came from.
