I have a Glynda Turley painting, framed and matted and signed. Has number 886/2000 in bottom right hand corner and her signature. On the back it has handwritten "Callie & Co." followed by an I. It is a painting of a girl in a blue and pink dress from the back with 3 ducks overlooking a lack and some mountains with a church in the distance. I cannot find the painting on Turley's website or on ebay. Does any one know much about her work? Thank you... Terri

Should I prime my canvas Before I paint? And if so, what with? I use acrylics.

Why decide? Why not use every shade of blue you can come up with?

One of the rewards of working in abstract art is the freedom to experiment with colors.

http://pics.livejournal.com/unmired/pic/00021303/g16

Sometimes the experiment fails, sometimes not. When it's right to you there are few rewards in life better than being pleased with your efforts.

http://pics.livejournal.com/unmired/pic/00022d46/g16

But even the failures can be fun. I don't really consider this last one a failure. It's just that it looks too Jackson Pollack to me. So I haven't done any more like it.

This is my absolute FAVORITE painting of all time, and I don't even know who painted it!! I would like to know the artist because I have seen similar "daemon/ naked woman romantic tryst" paintings and I think they are all done by the same artist. If turns out to be a well known artist like Frazetta, I'm gonna be so embarassed!! LOL

Can you please tell me what is your preference, if you have a favorite artist, and if the artwork at your home reflects this preference?
Thanks,

I'm sort of guessing at the moment. I'm using titanium white, linseed oil and turpentine. Is this right? I like to use the wet on wet technique and have found it very successful, but I am concerned about the longevity of my paintings in case I haven't got the mixture correct.
