THANK YOU!!! My friend took a picture of him & his wife in 2 different photos, one looked like the "American Gothic" portrait and for the LIFE of me I couldn't remember the name...thank you SOOOO Much all of you! (You saved me at least 24 hours of stress) Oh, and for the "church"...I think I was thinking of the scene in Rocky Horror Picture show at the beginning when everyone is standing (and there's 2 people posed) like that in front of the church...Thanks again all of you!!!!

American Gothic.

It's actually a farm he's in front of but the fact that the windows are very prominent is a very Christian thing with the crosses in the center of them.

I believe the picture you have in mind is called "American Gothic", by Grant Wood. You can find a link to the image at:

American Gothic. He's holding a pitchfork and it's in front of a farm house.

I bet you are taking a music appreciation class. If by chance you get the moxie to ask your teacher a question, ask why we need to appreciate art that is worth more than most of us will make in a lifetime. Perhaps she gets a royalty for pushing its worth higher? Art needs to appreciate art of today, not the art of collectors, unless they want more forgers than original artistry.
