its early 1400s, titled "Spanish School". I am sure the artist is unknown. the description is "Polyptych with scenes from the life of saint george"

Seriously, I know there's a lot of paintings with cats, but I'm afraid to paint my kitty because they always seem so cutesy, kind of like card playing dogs. Does anyone know of a painting by a famous artist with a cat in it that works as as "high art"? What about clowns??!!

Can serious art be a little of both? Although this painting does have a whimsical, cartoonish flavor to it would you consider it serious enough to be serious art? Can you see the life cycle I'm trying to convey? Please let me know what you think.

I need to find out more information about a painting done by claude monet called "vase of poppies" i am trying to find out more about when, where, and why it was painted. its for a paper for school. i have search around the internet but i only get the pricing, where its located now, and what year it was located.

We would like to change the wall colors from a much deeper and darker color into something much lighter(eg. dark blue to light beige). What are the steps that we should take in order to ensure a nice, clean finish? Does priming need to be done before actual painting? What happens if we don't have the walls primed and we just paint two layers over the current colors? Will the new paint color look different on the wall if the walls are not primed?

Is this something you are born with or can you develop it over time? I want to know what art lovers are actually thrilled by. What seperates Picasso from Monet and if I get some art work commissioned, how am I supposed to estimate it's value and pay the artist?

I've got an awesome BC Rich guitar http://www.bcrich.com/virgin.html and i'm thinking of putting this on her http://img240.imageshack.us/my.php?image=guitarpaintingidea1zj5.jpg I'm really good with painting and drawing but i know the flames are going to be a challenge... which is kinda why I want to do the project myself i guess too. So where do i start? This is done by a gun i believe right with acrylics? Of course I'm going to perfect it before touching the guitar too... but is there any tips to painting flames or anything else that could help?

what is your favorite painting by him?

im looking for a really vibrant piece by him to get tattooed on my arm. I have a few ideas, but he has so many pieces....ones i may not know about. I just want to find the right compositions. It would be helpful if you just threw out random paintings by him that you like or that are exceptional.

it would mean a lot...anything would help. thanks
