what is your favorite painting by him?
im looking for a really vibrant piece by him to get tattooed on my arm. I have a few ideas, but he has so many pieces....ones i may not know about. I just want to find the right compositions. It would be helpful if you just threw out random paintings by him that you like or that are exceptional.
it would mean a lot...anything would help. thanks

As a tattoo artist I would seriously recommend that you decide this one on your own. Listening to others opinions is fine but in the end this will be on YOUR arm for the rest of your life. Make sure it is your favorite. You are the one who will be looking at it in the mirror when your eighty.

What a GREAT idea for a tattoo! Finally someone with some originality! Well, you could go for the obvious......... The persistence of memory clock........ people would recognize that at least. The great masturbator would be cool. People would definitely ask you about that one! But I think it would be really great to get Dali's head tattooed on your arm...... his crazy mustache would look so cool! Maybe you could replicate the famous picture of him jumping in the air with the water and the cats. I love the look on his face.

Anything would be good though. I think Dali would lend himself well to a tattoo.

I really like the one that it elephants reflecting swans.(or the other way around?) You could get just a section of the painting, like one elephant/swan. Have you ever seen that painting? It is really neat.

I don't know your taste, but I personally would go for the elongated figures from The Temptation of St Anthony.

Not a single one. If you have to have a tattoo, get something that is tattooish. I like Dali too much to want it on a body.

Wiser not to get a tattoo. It is dangerous, you can have bad reactions to the chemicals (inks + ? basically) or have skin problems like allergies etc...
