Is it worth just giving a photo to someone i know little about? I dont want pictures of me leaking on the internet! Where can i meet genuine artists? I am happy to pay for the paintings but I could never pose infront of a group or anything!

I was asked if Juan Luna's Death of Cleopatra is a painting. So far all that i have learned is that it is a lithograph. Can lithographs be considered paintings

The painting depicts a girl laying in a field of grass on her stomach. She has her back turned to the viewer and she is reaching out. She's dressed in praire like clothing and may be wearing a large hat.

I've seen this painting some time ago and cannot find it again. I don't know the name or artist but I have a picture of myself as a child that is reminiscent of this painting. Does anyone have any clue as to what painting I am describing?

It will be called 'A Gathering Of Ghosts' when it is finished. This isn't a great photograph of the painting but you should get the right idea. The words on the sign in the upper middle reads:

NO / ALL

******
Jews
Irish
Farmers
Italians
Dreamers
and/or Poets
Welcomed

The sign by the old MG car reads:

Members Only

The painting is images from our recept past. Some are comforting, some are nightmares. All are ghosts that still linger in our memories.

Please let me know what you think about it so far?

This is a painting, not done recently, I almost want to say rennaissance-era, done by I think it was an Italian painter (the name sounded Italian anyways). It was called "Winter".

It is a painting of a head, but the head looks like it's made of roots, and there's a branch growing out of its neck, and growing on the branch are two yellow lemons. I remember reading that the artist did four potraits like this, depicting the four seasons. If anyone knows what the artist's name is, or where I can see I picture of the painting on the net, this would be great. Thank you.

For my contextual studies I need to look at artists whose work was based (losely or specifically on time) I have already looked and written about 'Persistence of Memory' by Dali but was wondering if there were anymore especially one or two textile artists who focused on this theme.
