Okay, I sound a right idiot, considering I love art/drawing.

I'm wanting a graphic tablet for Christmas, and I've gone through a quick questionnaire to show which graphic tablet I'm recommended to use, and in it, it says :

'You have indicated that you want to draw free-hand. There are special tablets with inbuilt screens for applications like this.'

----

That said, the two it has recommended are £1000+, which indictates I've thought free-hand drawing is something completely different to what it actually is. Would they really charge that for drawing? Which is what made me think it may be designing/job-related.

:)

If you catch my drift, what I mean is, if I've confused myself, and I *shouldn't* want a free-hand one, then that's fine, I'll buy another and save my Mum some money. ^^

Thanks a lot :)

I finished it two nights ago and am not sure myself what I was trying to say here. Would you care to interpret it? Seriously, perhaps you can help me understand what I was trying to say here. All i know is it is one of the more serious things I've done in a long time. Here is the link;

(As always, you can double click on the image to enlarge it to see more details.)

It’s part of a series I’ve been working on off and on over the last year. Here is a link to the other paintings in this series:

there's this painting by some artist that's featured in the book "marijuana medicine" and i have no idea who its by or what it's called. i just know its of some woman with her eyes closed holding out her hands sort of and every part of her is made of marijuana or green. it is beautiful, id really like to find it. any hints (if you dont really know, but have heard of something like that) will help too!

love, elisabeth

HP:

Or Kodak:

I own the kodak. Is the HP worth the price?? I have never used an HP camera before, but it seems like a good option with an 8 mp and 6x zoom for the weight. the kodak has a 6 mp and 10x zoom.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a college student (not majoring in photography if that helps, just consider it a hobby), and I enjoy taking artistic photos as well as taking photos when I travel. I've searched a few different brands but have yet to find a camera that has what I'm looking for and still had good reviews. I would like one that has a large optical zoom (I have never had a fondness for using the digital zoom much), takes clear pictures (image stabilizer) and has plenty of different options when it comes to taking the actual pictures (as in outdoors, aquatic, etc...)
I am also interested in something that isn't too large so it would be easy for my to take on trips. I have had past problems with digital cameras taking a long time between pictures. And as a bonus, is there a camera with a fish eye lens attachment or feature?

Is there a camera that fits my needs or am I just too picky??

I have a Canon Powershot A570 IS. Today I took it out to take some pictures of the creek, where I noticed there was something wrong with my Tv (shutter) mode. Anytime I take a picture in this mode the result is just a bright white picture. I thought it was just overexposure since it was bright out, but when I brought it into a shaded/dark area it had the same result. Other modes seemed to work just fine.

Is this simply a result of it being too bright out, so it's capturing too much light even in a 1 sec. time lapse, or is there a setting I need to adjust for it to work? It was working fine just yesterday an and this is the first time I've had this problem

I have to paint a colour circle, but the problem is, I only have yellow, blue, and purple. (and various other colours which I don't use) I have no red.

So, how do I turn purple into red? I've asked elsewhere, and was told to add yellow, and I got a brown-orangy colour, which was good for one of the squares, but I need good red.

Just curious if anyone has ever made a poster out of one of their pictures, and if so how did you go about doing it?

I have some pretty good pictures that I would like to have made into posters on good poster paper about 11" X 14" or maybe 16" X 20". Thanks!

I've always been of the opinion that you can teach yourself how to do most things as long as you have the initial talent, but lately it seems I should have taken art courses in photography so that I would have a chance of working in the field. Any photographers out there that can offer advice. I'm 24 so I feel it's a little late to back to school for it.
