I wouldn't bother with ebay. It might shatter you that someone doesn't want to pay much for your painting.
You can put your art in a gallery if you can get in. That depends alot on your style and expertise. Typically, galleries mark up art at least 100% to recoup their "investment". It takes longer to sell there as a result.
These days, there's lots of places to sell art. Art faires, restaurants, coffee houses, greeting card companies, T-shirt manufacturers....the sky is the limit.
Get a good book like the Artist Resource Guide. It will give you lots of tips on where to market your art. You might even think about donating a piece in order to get started.

It depends on the piece, how much demand there is for it, how good you are, how you write the ad, and more.

It might bring $3, or $3000. But unless you've sold a lot of work before, and you've made a name for yourself, I'd lean on something closer to $3.

But you'll never know until you try.

not much. try selling it in a gallery instead. on ebay, you can't see the quality of art work through a mere photograph! so people won't be likely to bid very high, if at all. good luck!

also, some coffee shops help out artists by displaying their works on the walls and seeing if customers want to buy them.

What piece? Just saying it is isn't much to put a price tag on.

I would have to see it and know information about it. Why don't you post a pic?
