When I'm painting on canvas, what do you add to acrylic right out of the bottle to thin it and slow its drying time? I love painting with them, but it dries so quickly.

Hello, I am a 7th grader, and I want to do horses/action photos. I know people say practice makes perfect but what should I look for in a good picture? I do have horses to practice, but I need a better answer than practice. For you, what is a good or bad picture? And...How to make it better?

So I just finished a still life in oil paints and I'm very happy with the results. The problem is that this is my first time using oil paints, and I didn't do much research beforehand. I just jumped right in, and painted an already prepared canvas with oil paints (winton brand) straight from the tube. I didn't mix the paints with anything. I did a lot of layering of colors (i.e. a dark layer for shadows, and then layering lighter colors on top). So my first question is, how long will it take to dry so that I can at least transport the painting from one place to another (on a plane- I'm thinking I'll have to carry it on). Second question is, will there be problems with my painting since I failed to mix it with turpentine or whatever people commonly use? Thanks so much!

Where is the line drawn between art and porn, is there a difference? Is Erotic photography or Fetish Photography considered Porn? I have friends who are artists and I have friends who are pornographers and we have this discussion all the time. I'm just looking for a few more opinions.

Hi,
I am Currently using Testor's Enamels in a poorly ventilated room, which are apparently highly toxic with long exposure, can cause cancer and birth defects. Wondering if there are any options/solutions to my problem (aside from putting ventilation in the room, there's a different problem that comes with that).

The model paints need to withstand scratching (shouldn't be easily ruined).

Thanks

I am making paintings (fine art) that can be painted and lifted like large decals. I have used 6 mil shipping plastic, This works great, but is hell to format and non-permanent. I need to identify and locate a more stable substitute. (Clear plastic sheeting; large solid sheets that watersoluble paint will peel off of.)

I would think the same thing tupperware is made of (polypropylene), but cannot find it in flat clear sheets. Does anyone know what the clear painters pallettes are made of (melamine?) and if it is sold in sheets to the public?

I have been trying to put a finger on this for over 2 years--any help or leads out there?

thanx

I would like to make my own blending stumps (tortillons) for pencil drawing and shading. They are not stocked in shops I live near, and I can't buy online. I have access to lots of pulp paper, though. Does anyone know how to DIY? Thanks a lot in advance!
