These pictures date back to the 1800's. My mother ripped all of my dad's and her family pictures up before she died. They are important to me but I don't have tons of money. I could start to learn photo shop but as of now I know nothing about it. I'd love to get them out of the box and in order. Is there archival tape out there?

I have thousands of old slides that I'd like to have digitalized. They're Kodak.

I like to collect photos of people. I take my Kodak easy-shot camera on vacations and most every where else. If I see a interesting photo of people on the internet, I collect that too.

I never collect photos of unhappiness or injuries. Those photos bother me. They remind me of horror movies, of which I also do not like. I like being happy. Not upset.

My wife like's flowers, so for her I am always taking photos of flowers that I see.

Any of you collect photos of people, or anything else?.

I'm planning a trip to the art museum tomorrow and would love to take some pictures in the areas where they allow it. I'm a real amateur and haven't really taken pictures without flash. I have a Canon Powershot A710 and am just getting used to it. I'm still trying to get the hang of aperture, shutter speed, etc. What settings should I use and what changes should I make if the shots come out blurry and unclear?

I've started to dabble in painting with oils. I'm not great but would like others to see my work to pass opinion, not neccesarily to buy but that would be an added bonus! What's a good way?

I take random photos from my camera on the streets of people. Is it ok to put it on the web? Everyday we see such photos in flickr or videos in youtube... Are they all legal? The people in the photos are unaware of their faces put on the web.

I think that it was supposed to be Christ and the dove represented the Holy Ghost and was depicted coming out of Christ, but there was definate spittal depicted in the painting. It is a large painting and if I remember correcltly it was displayed ths past June near a stairway in the Louvre, but I can't find it in the Louvre's database

BBC showed members of the public the photo which was removed from an exhibition. Personally, I see it as two innocent children playing. I can't understand a mentality which makes nudity and pornography the same thing - they clearly are not, so in my book it isn't porn. I honestly get quite worried by the thought processes of those who regard this kind of thing as porn. Children do this kind of thing all the time, but usually not in front of the lens of a camera. But I may concede it is exploitative, insofar as the subjects of the photograph were much too young to consent to the publication and public display of their image. This image of "Klara and Edda Belly Dancing" by Nan Golding has been exhibited countless times and printed without complaint, but if there is a complaint about it I think it is merely one of exploitation of the subjects, not of pornography.

I recently bought a Canon Rebel XT, a Tamron 17-50mm lens ($450), and a Canon L 70-200mm lens ($550). After all that money spent on photography, I'm sometimes surprised by how crisp and clear photos of wide open scenes and landscapes taken with a cheap $100 point and shoot camera (taken by a complete amateur). Sometimes these photos seem to come clearer on the Point and Shoots. Why is that? It's discouraging! Thanks!!!

PS: I don't want you to think that I'm dumping on SLR's. Close up and portrait photos provide much better bokeh then a P & S.

I will be videoing inside houses for a Realtor. Should I color balance the ambient light? Because if the room has part window light in one part of room and household lights in another part of the room you have different color temperatures. I need to know how to handle this challenge. Do I use a lamp on top of the camera? I'm new at this since I am a portrait photographer and do not know video.

I will be using a Panasonic AG-DVX100B. Any wisdom in lighting this kind of situation would be appreciated. (Antoni? You out there? Any idea what I should do?)

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to do IR photography with a Hoya R72 and a Canon 1DMIII. I wanted to do this with my canon 20D but I read that this would come out with a poor result due to some IR filtering software in the camera's sensor. Is this the same with the 1DMIII or does it work?

Im moving back to New York next year around this time, and I really need to find a college to go to. Im already taking some classes up at Valley College here in California, but I need to know about an art school, the BEST one, or at least ONE of the best. Not to mention an apratment. I remember when I used to live there in Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Harlem, the rent was ridiculous, but now its just insane! Anyone know about apartments and art schools, please help out, I'd really appreciate it. An art school for photography, film, fashion, and writing, and an apartment. HELP ME! Thanks.
