I will be videoing inside houses for a Realtor. Should I color balance the ambient light? Because if the room has part window light in one part of room and household lights in another part of the room you have different color temperatures. I need to know how to handle this challenge. Do I use a lamp on top of the camera? I'm new at this since I am a portrait photographer and do not know video.

I will be using a Panasonic AG-DVX100B. Any wisdom in lighting this kind of situation would be appreciated. (Antoni? You out there? Any idea what I should do?)

ok daytime.............as ace says gels can be used over the windows.....or close the blinds........gels must be unwrinkled or it will show

simple way would be use the D5 and get a reading of the temp of the Video cameras light, gel it if you have to to 56-6500........meter for daylight, (better to be daylight with tungstens as "warm". Than to meter for tungsten (32-34kisk) and have the daylight looking "cool-cold"

so this answer, the other answer and my email should help you?

give me more info.......exactly what you will be doing...is it a guided tour, or can you use some lights n stuff to "set" each room?

Go to expoimaging.net and order their ExpoDisc. Or buy it at a local camera store. It is designed for achieving correct WB in mixed lighting. You can read about it at shutterbug.com - they reviewed it in the May 2007 issue. Just type "expodisc" in the Search box.
