I take random photos from my camera on the streets of people. Is it ok to put it on the web? Everyday we see such photos in flickr or videos in youtube... Are they all legal? The people in the photos are unaware of their faces put on the web.

It's done commonly.

I don't think there's a legal problem with it.

Here is a link for you to read about the legal rights about people in pictures. Do not read between the lines or think this is just a "grey area". If you do something in the wrong way you can be sued!! Read the "The Right of Privacy".

Go to shutterbug.com and in the Search box type in 'privacy rights'. The article was in the May 2007 issue.

the fact you have to ask should tell you,

the fact you only care if its legal or not and not for the rights of the people is something you should look at yourself about
