I've been asked by an author to make ten illustrations for a book he is writing. The subject matter is rather obscure, so it will have limited printing and circulation. I have to provide a quote for my work. I am not a professional illustrator, and this will be the first time my drawings are printed. They will be 10 black and white line drawings. The writer has seen samples of my work and I'm confident he'll be satisfied with what I produce. What should I charge?

I teach French and have some small things (index card size) that need laminating for a lesson-- how can I laminate them without a machine? We do not have one!

Ideas? Thanks!

I have looked at commercial products, and want it to still wash away with water. Commercial "liquid chalk" products are more robust though. Maybe something similar to football field paint??? i dont know tho.

I'm currently heavily retouching a digital photograph and it's made me curious. How did 1980's advertising creatives do what is commonly reffered to as "airbrushing" photographs before the introduction of Adobe Photoshop.

I was told I could use rubber cement in place of liquid masking film (Frisket) for masking off areas in my watercolors. Is it gentle enough that it won't rip the watercolor paper when removed?

I previously posted this question but I think I did'nt explain myself right. I need ideas on how to create a project poster. The project itself is ONLY to create the poster, not do a report on it. It has to have his name on it along with a picture of him as the lead guitarist. The theme is Rock Band/Guitar player it is for my 7 yr old son. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. He has the game Guitar Hero for the PS2 so we will be using that guitar. I also thought of spiking his hair. Thanks alot!!

I am interested in starting as a true beginner in Photography. First off I am not looking to be swayed to purchase a digital SLR camera.

Okay. I want to start out at the complete basics. Currently I am looking into Manual Focus cameras. Due to the lens supply between canon and nikon those are the two main companies I am looking into. What is the equilavent camera offered by canon that offers the same beginner manual autofocus as the FM10.

Thank you.
