Yes, I realize the title of this question makes it sounds as if it belongs in the 'singles & dating' section, but I am actually in need of a photo of a particular pose for a serious art project for my Fine Arts Drawing class, and I thought I'd ask here. This figure will be part of a larger work, and I have uploaded the relevant section here: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y208/Heretic_Eve/NagaandCerberus.jpg

What I need is a photo of a man in the position shown in the sketch. He doesn't need to be particularly athletic - gaunt is also fine. After all, the sketch is of Satan, so the more evil or androgynous you look, the better. As you can see in the sketch, nothing below the waste need be photographed, so please....No full monty!

Does anyone know a good school to go to if you're interested in photography, but not so good at other kinds of art? I'm looking for one particularly in the St Louis area, or at least in the Midwest, but anywhere will do really. I'd just like some advice on somewhere with a good photo program that isn't obscenely hard to get into.

Can anyone help me with my concentration for AP Studio Art?!

I have a few weeks to think of one but I'm still freaking out. I was going to do destruction, but I don't know if it would work for 12 photos, i think it would be boring. I JUST NEED A DAMN CONCENTRATION and i looked everywhere for suggestions and racked my brain and i still can't think of one i really like. I don't want to do shadows, portraits, or negative manipulation. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP lol.

Little information- I'm a senior in high school, amateur photographer and my whole portfolio (due in May) is going to be done with digital, black and white, and color photography.

i have a nikon 5 mega pixel digital camera
a manual slr camera? i forgot the name but its nikon.

I have submitted digital art to be printed on all sorts of media. One thing they always say is the image must be "camera ready" what exactly does this term mean.

None of the things I have ever submitted have been rejected for not being camera ready, but I still have no idea what this means technically...?

I've noticed that on some avatars (or any picture really) people have photos that 'change' every few seconds.

It then 'cycles' around to the beginning picture again. Most people have ones that change photo every second or two, some others have a main picture, and one that flashes for a split second.

Some people even have cartoon strips which change every second in order to tell a story.

It seems much more common than to be for just super-tech peeps, so how can I create my own? Can anyone tell more about this process?

Thanks in advance :-)

Pen names, nom de plumes - how does one manage to earn a name for theirselves as an artist? I've met several artists that have used pen names instead of their real names to present theirselves to the public, and are actually very well known for them. I mean, there may be copyright/trademark problems, especially if you just "do it", right? because anybody can (wether intentionally or accidentally) use your name and use it for their own.

So, my question is, how do you start? do you just "do it", do you sign a legal documentation? or what?

In May 1845 John Ruskin prolonged his stay in Pisa in order to draw the early 15th -century Palazzo Agostini on the Lungarno, or river bank, of the Tuscan city. "There is nothing like it in Italy that I know of", he said; and, writing to his father, he added: "They have knocked a great hole in the middle to put up a shield with a red lion and a yellow cock upon it for the sign of a consul, and they have knocked another at the bottom to put up a sign of a soldier riding a horse on two legs, with inscription All'Ussero Café." The sign mentioned by Ruskin was short-lived, since it was thrown into the River Arno the following year by liberal students who could not even stand the sight of that Hussar. It reminded them of Austrian rule over partitioned Italy; but the Café, one of the oldest in Europe, is still there. It has been there since 1775, as attested by copies of documents, letters, and contracts exhibited on its walls, which mention the presence of a Café on the ground floor.

I'm supposed to make a painting using 4 things that make me "fly." My friend and I thought it would be hilarious if I painted Red Bull (gives you wings) and a maxi pad with wings....
Funny, funny. But I want an A, not an F for fascecious.
What makes you fly is supposed to be the things you do/ makes you happiest.
What makes you fly?
I need ideas.
