Get a long handle wooden spoon and draw a face on the round bit. Get a metal wire scourer (those stringy looking ones) and use it as hair it will just sit on the round part of the spoon if you open it up. Then get a tea towel and fold it like an accordian and sit the handle of the spoon in the middle of the folds. Tie the tea towel with raffia around what would be the neck. YOu have a useful gift to give to someone or an ornament for the kitchen.

Get a hexagonally shaped glass and some rice paper or thick tissue paper. Buy a bottle of JO sonja clear glaze medium. CUt the tissue paper to go around the outside of the glass. Using a paint brush paint the outside of the glass and then put the tissue paper around it. then put more glaze medium over the top of the paper. When dry stick some Stars on the outside ( you can usually get stars that are used as christmas ornaments in long bits and cut the stars up. Get some Glitter glue and put around the edge of the glass. Then put a tea candle in the base. ANd you have a hand made tea candle holder.

Items that are useful as well as decorative are the best sellers. Picture frames (premade and decorated with paint, glued-on toys, bits of hardware, beads - can be really cute and sellable). Also, planter boxes, bird feeders/houses, papier mache bowls, jewelry (it's easy to string beads to make necklaces, bracelets and earrings)...
