Assuming proper + exposure ... WHAT is the "visual difference" between 500 @ f/5.6 or 250 @ f/8 ?

I think it is generally accepted at 4x5 and up to 8x10. Above that it is ultra large format. However, you do see press and view cameras smaller such as the 2.25 Century Graphic.

I just wanted to get some discussion on this one.

I am using Mac and a PC for photoshop. We have many images that are at high res. I know photoshp allows you to change a bulk of images at once. Does anyone know how to do this, or something simmilar?

Thanks

Okay here is my third rounds of dumb questions... I am just starting up and I see that everyone offers to give the client burned copies of the images... Is that standard these days... or should I only give them a few.... In addition.. How much is the "standard" for 8x10s, Super Bs, and 5x7s... Also should I charge extra for retouching and converting to .pdf format? Is there a source where I can find "standard pricing" for photo services...?

I have a painting thats named "The Five Senses". It depicts five kittens, each of them employing one of the senses. Example...one of the kittens is looking in a mirror for sight; one smelling a rose for smell, etc. This was passed down to me from my mother who wrote on the back of it that it was my great, great, great, grandmother's. Awhile back I found a print of the same at Wal-Mart, but unfortunately it didn't have any information on it about its orgin or artist. Any input or suggestions will be helpful. I'm not interested in selling it, I just would like to know about how old it is and all. Thank you.

I have the random urge to try and paint. The problem is I know nothing about paints. I plan to do a classical type of painting. Any suggestions about the type of paint I should get? The brand? Quantity? Where to get it? Thanks.
