Also check out the LA river and it's concrete encasement. There are miles of this 2 inch river, (remember it from T2?) and lots of grafitti over the length of it. If it is not just grafitt, but 'building art' that you are looking for, there are several unique murals on buildings in and around downtown. My favorite (seen from the top of Angel's Flight) are the window washers that look real until you realize that they aren't moving.
