That there is poetry is the only
evidence that man truly exists

The Latin American poet quoted above was wise beyond his years. He had the luxury of participating in a culture that still prized the power of the written word as incantation. A machine can be programmed to make everything a man can make - airplanes, pictures, prose, music - but only one craft still requires exclusively the active participation of a human: poetry. Only a human can create and judge great poetry. Yet no poet currently living can make a living from his labor. This is because modern poetry has been written as prose and the public can not name a poet now living. The public does not buy poetry books. They do not expect to be pleased when they see a book of modern poetry in the shops. And they are right.

The poetry of the Greatest Living Poets Project sets out with a new direction. We never publish a poem unless it contains at least one line that will live forever in the language. greatestlivingpoets.com

Hello, I am greatly in need of a realistic looking tricycle for an adult. It has to be a large oversized clone of the ones for kids. This is a prop for a stage production. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hello, This may sound like a strange question, but I'm TOTALLY serious.

Does anyone know what the ratio for a barbie-type doll (11 and 1/2 inches tall) would be to an adult human (preferably a 5'5" woman)? I'm terrible at math!

Also, ignoring the crazy waist and bust size, if I wanted to take a crochet barbie-type doll pattern and convert it to an adult woman (preferably 5'5"), what would I multiply everything by? (I guess that would depend on the ratio :)

Like I said, I know it sounds strange, but this is VERY important, if anyone could give me their two cents!
Thanks so much!

I wish that I could scream,
I wish that I could cry.
I wish that I could bleed,
I wish that I could die.
If only I could leave this painful world,
If only for tonight.
I wish that I could make you care,
That you would feel my heart as it begins to break,
I wish that I could bring you back, if just to say ‘goodbye’
To see you again, what would it take?
If only I could leave this lonely world,
If only for tonight.
I wish that I could bleed
And heal the scars that I’ve made.
And never have you be disappointed in me,
If the scars will never fade.
If only I could leave this judgmental world,
If only for tonight.
I wish that there was someone there
That I would never have to hear my own screams echoing.
I wish that you had kept your promise
When you said that you’d always care.
I wish that I could see your eyes one more time
With one look, , I understood you, and you, I.
I wish that I could die.
If only I could leave this empty world,
If only for tonight….

I take the transfer and run it through the printer, I am supposed to be able to take the transfer and put it on a white t-shirt and everything is supposed to come out really nice on the t-shirt, right?
wrong! The transfer sticks to the t-shirt and I have to peel it off. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I try to understand the directions, but I am dslyxic (wrong spelling). Is there anyone that knows about taking the transfers and ironing them on t-shirts?

just look outside your window, and see what lies before you. see the colors painted on the skies. and i, i; i will chase the sunset for you. and i, i; i will bring it back to you. if you just hold on to tonight. just hold on to the promise of tonight. may the beauty of these summer skies never cease to warm your heart and melt away the hurt and pain inside your crying eyes. if you just hold on to tonight. just hold on to the promise of tonight. and the sun is always the same tho you're miles and miles away and when i see the sun in these summer skies, i will think of you and see; the beauty that's hidden in your eyes, reflecting in these painted skies. if you just hold on to tonight. just hold on for me tonight...then everything, everything will be alright...

compelling style (website: www.giusepperussottoart.com), and yet no gallery wants to accept my work no matter how much better it is than a lot of the work that is hanging on their walls now. These galleries are acting as if they are giving me a seven-figure Hollywood contract!!!! It's just a very modest chance to sell a couple of paintings at a very unexciting price, nothing more!!!! Why is it so damn difficult?

Even though I own several digital and film cameras, I prefer film over digital: 35mm, 4x5, 8x10 formats, etc. Because I have to work harder for the final results: developing, processing, and printing, it gives me more opportunity to be creative…Meanwhile with digital technology usually does too much for you.

We have 10 lbs of fresh Maine coast clay and I forget from my many art classes how to clean the grit before we use it. It involves soaking it in water. I'm just not sure what for and how does this remove the rocks/sand?

I am very well experienced with Graphic Design and have been using Adobe Photoshop since I was a teenager, but I do not have a degree. I think that by paying to go to school and get a degree is a waste of time and money. Is there another way!?!

Any other suggestions for the professionals!?!
