Looking at lovely couples is comparable to smelling delicious foods. What I mean to say is that such scene make you feel you want to be like them. Why you feel lonely? I guess you have unresolved personal conflicts pertaining to relationships either frustration or failure perhaps. It makes you a bit depressed by the thought that how could they be such lovely birds while you cannot. What you feel is a mixture of jealousy,envy,self-pity and regret that is why it makes you sing ..."Lonely,I'm Mr./Miss Lonely I have nobody..."

Because you're maybe between girlfriends right now and envious of them. Believe me, when I was a teenager I felt like you, wondering why other couples had already found love and I had not. With age comes wisdom and you realize that some things can't be forced. Love will come in its own time. I've been happily married to the love of my life for 22 years. Patience.

I might have 2 reason that might explained that kind of lonely feeling...
Firstly, you just broke up in a relationship or you still love someone dearly, and of course you miss that special someone...
Secondly, that is no special someone is your heart but you have been single for a long long time... And i guess is time for you to look out for someone to get hitched...Someone to take care of you or spend time with you...
Regardless what the real reasons is, good luck in your search and focus on your daily life... When love arrived, it will knock on your door...
Cheers

You're a sad lonely person who does nothing apart from sit in front of your PC all day asking ridiculous questions.
Get out and get a life then you might even get a hug from someone some day.

It's normal to have an emotional response when you see something like this. If you feel lonely, it's probably because you are, you don't usually think about it,but it is brought to mind in this situation.
The question should be "What should I do about it?"
You could stay in and keep busy doing the things you want to do.
You could get a kitten.
You could spend your time in the GYM and take plenty of anabolic steroids

It's called love. Chances are you dont have a boyfriend/girlfriend, so you have no one you can just connect with. Your heart feels this more than your mind realizes it, so you get an emotional response.
Hurrah for confusing answers.

It's called envy, self-pity too by the sound of it.
Take positive steps if the above is true.
