Theater & Acting - November 2007

The play is an original work, no specific format so I can't assume each line on an 8" paper is one line. On a 4" paper, if I counted this way, I would have twice as many lines.

Hi, I am very interested in film and had a vision of film-making since I was very young. I am not about the money, I love film producing with a passion. I was hoping if anyone in the Hollywood business could lead me in the right path. I've taken some acting lessons and stuff and I've ALWAYS wanted to do commercials and stuff. But i have no idea where to get started. Okay, I've been told its "impossible" to become an actress.. But I'm really good at acting, and im alright at singing... Ive been in many plays and musicals... I want to make something of myself and not just sit around day dreaming about how it would be if i did become an actress. This is something i love to do, and i have a passion for it. How can i show myself out there and get noticed? I was thinking maybe i could have a small part in a disney channel show...
please help, and tell me if you know any auditions, or website with auditions for disney.

I'm putting on a production of "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens with my fellow classmates, and I intend for it to be student-written, student-produced, and student-performed. The problem is, I don't have any idea of what to do, or if we'd be able to squeeze the plot-line into one act (for I'm not sure how much time we have to perform.)
Any suggestions?
I'm considering the storming of the Bastille, but I don't know how well we'd be able to perform it.

Im trying to find duet acting scripts or books....
they have to be at least 10 minutes long.
I need some help! If anyone knows any books that have scripts that are at least 10 minutes long..please let me know..
or websites...but as long as they have and IBN number or whatever that is.

i want to act, but my pareents want me to do a different profession. when im by myslf i act, like im on a set and other people are there. the majority f the time i make it up, but some is from films, or heroes, i make upi new episodes. is this normal? or does it show that i am dedicated and prepared and set with my heart and soul to act? please i have never wanted something soo much! its what i wanna do, should i follow my heart or my parents?

not reveal her age? There are NO records whatsoever on when she was born or what year and date. This is a modern actress. Not someone who no one knows from the old days. What would be the reason for not having any recorded birth or not revealing it?

First of all, thanks to all who helped me to decide that for me Joseph would be a more rewarding experience than Music Man.

Okay Time for round 2

Should i audition for a funny thing happened on the way to the forum or joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat? I've done my homework and know the technicalities of each show, but i've never actually seen forum. I would be interested in playing the part of Phila in this play. In Joseph i would want to be Mrs. Potiphar (does this part usually involve a lot of dancing) or another wife.

I am 17 and as i said in round 1 i am limited dancing experience. I am looking to brouden my musical horizens i have not been very involved in actual musicals given my present location, but here is the list of my experiences

Tom Sawyer- Sydney ( it is actually sid, but i am a girl so they changed it- i was like8)

trial of the big bad wolf-juror #2 (i was 9)

Good News - my first real experience i was a cheerleader last year

IF i post a question about looking for a monologue i wuld like to stop getting answers that tell me i am a lazy bum and to go and look for some. Yall act like i am strictly using this as a resource.
