"I always thought the idea of education was to learn to think for youself."
"At these boys' age, not on your life."

What do the quotes imply?
And how are these words related to Thoreau?

A radiologist or a medical technician, in the course of his job, discovers that the patient, who is an up and coming artist, has a fatal disease. The patient will see the doctor the next day and learn of his condition. Meanwhile, the radiologist or technician goes to a local art gallery and buys an expensive painting by the artist, reasoning that the value of the painting will multiply after the artist dies. Assume the radiologist or technician will not have occasion to deal with this patient's case again.

Has he done anything unethical?

I have come to conclude that there is no possible way that the big bang is true. How did matter just suddenly appear in space? Did it just pop out of nowhere? NO that cant happen. God is the only one that could have created it. Life is weird I can't imagine how on earth i'm alive. How did my species just end up on earth? How did animals just start roaming the earth? How the heck does space just pop out of no where? Why do people say there is no life out there other than ours? Thats ignorant of them to think that. The universe is huge. There are other beings out there. There has to be. Everything is like a dream.

Hey!

Do you believe that God exists? What is your explanation for the universe? Why do you believe these things? Do you have Bible scriptures to back this belief? Do you believe all religions are acceptable to God? If not, which one is, and why do you think this? If so, why do you believe all religions are acceptable? And where do you get your reasons from?

If you do not believe in God, explain to me what you DO believe, why, where you got these beliefs, and what proof you have that it's the truth.

This is not a one sentence question. Your answers need to be long. Please answer with detail and precision. Be emotional. Think logically. Tell me what you really think is true. Try your hardest to convince me. MAKE me listen.

Well, I can't wait to read your answers. And I can't wait to read what you base them off of, because that is extremely important. I don't like beliefs that come out of thin air.

Luv ya,
Tashi :)

Since failure is basically a feeling, I think that someone can fail in doing something and gain so much benefit from it that they don't even consider it a failure, nor do they FEEL they've failed. So wouldn't it be a matter of perspective?
What do you consider failure to be?

It's supposed to be something about our choices not being caused..

To be fair, the brain is just an organic object with reactions happening amongst it, reactions cause particular choices. I don't understand the concept of "free will" scientifically. It's some superstition about choice I think...
