It means being able to control my emotions and not have them control me. Emotions can be difficult to express and contain. Emotional freedom would mean being able to do both.

Emotions can be controlled through the mind; it is possible to think things through and have your emotions laced on logical thoughts and conclusions. This control would allow different emotions to be brought out at any time in a person's life whenever he/she wishes. This person would have freedom.

Emotional freedom can also be the ability to express emotions openly, whether negative or not. It's only through this that emotions would not be trapped in a person. Being able to laugh or weep, or shout or scream.. all these are a part of emotional freedom. Sometimes taking a pen and adding colour and lines to a blank page can help me express my emotions. Banging on a piano, or jogging around the neighbourhood are also simple signs of emotional freedom.

Emotional freedom is hard to obtain, but with plenty of courage, strength, and perseverance, I think it can come true for anyone.
