why are people stupid? please be philosophical and deep about this...?

I think that maybe stupid doesn't exist.Yes,you can be ignorant but not stupid.People who are called stupid,I think,should be called other things like lazy, careless, goofy, but not stupid.A so called "stupid" person could become a so called "genius" if they just worked hard,thought about what they said,and studied.I hope that makes sense to you.

Some people are very stupid, that means their parents are too sometimes. They couldn't be educated very well so they turned out that way. Most of the time, they just act stupid but WHY? Stupid has more than one meanings- 1. Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.
2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.
3. Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake.
4. Dazed, stunned, or stupefied.

We are all acting on the premise of some degree of ignorance. The universe is far too complex for our finite minds to absorb. No one can know all there is about everything.

Our brains are limited in the amount of knowledge that they can contain.

Another reason is impoverished environments. Most of us live in manmade, artificial environments. Our brains are structured to require interaction with nature in order to develop properly. Nature is infinitely variable and complex. Compared with a natural environment, our cities are impoverished in the complexity of stimulation they can provide to a child's growing brain. .And this is particularly true of television. People nowadays spend most of their time either working a job/going to school, watching TV, using a computer, or shopping. What you get from this range of experience, is stupidity. A rotting brain and a rotting body.
