A rumour started about me today.

I am curious how people would feel if some of the biographical information in philosophy is rumour rather than factual. A question of how much do we trust the information that is passed around and accept as fact without ever checking the source?

Or is there a lot more on the horizon to be discovered? And if so, what will it be? This question doesn't belong to a category, it applies to everything.

Many people say you can't have good without evil, and most just stop right there, pick a side, and live their lives, but...

Are good and evil equal 50-50? Or is the ratio different in reality, thus disregarding and ruling out religion.

If this ratio stands, then that means that evil is just as legitimate, great, and equal as GOOD. That God and the Devil are equals. right?

So then, is being(existing) a mass murderer as legitimate as a being as a holy man?

Why do carnal pleasures of the flesh have consequences if you over indulge in this type of behavior? Why are cigarettes bad for you? Why can't smoke be good for you? Why do drugs kill brain cells? Why is it possible to get STDs from having unprotected promiscuous sex?

I mean, why do we crave things that are bad for us? How come we don't crave things that are good for us? I don't think there are any serious consequences from reading books on a daily basis... And very few people want to do this! It's as if some creator said to himself, "I'm going to make humans crave things, but if they do it, they will suffer consequences!". And I guess this is for the purpose of finding out who is worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven? People who endulge in their carnal pleasures suffer consequences for straying from God...

What do you people think?

A similar question was asked to which I gave 11 answers (see my answers if you wish), but I thought it was such a good question, (and I have nothing to do at the moment), that I had to ask.

One might take the tip of the pencil and magnify it. One reaches the point where a stunning realization strikes home: The pencil tip is not solid; it is composed of atoms which whirl and revolve like a trillion demon planets. What seems solid to us is actually only a loose net held together by gravity. Viewed at their actual size, the distances between these atoms might become league, gulfs, aeons. The atoms themselves are composed of nuclei and revolving protons and electrons. One may step down further to subatomic particles. And then to what? Tachyons? Nothing? Of course not. Everything in the universe denies nothing; to suggest an ending is the one absurdity.
Could it be that everything we can perceive, from the microscopic virus to the distant Horsehead Nebula, is contained in one blade of grass that may have existed for only a single season in an alien time-flow?
Just Think how small such a concept of things make us.

There has been a hole found in the universe. Not a black hole swallowing everything up, not a dense fog... but a HOLE. There are no stars in it, no planets...nothing shining from inside. What if this hole is really a tear? What if beyond that hole is nothing? What if we aren't really here?

I have been thinking about this, and realized that if no one knows you or remembers you, technically you aren't here anymore! You are non existant. I think we believe we are here, as individuals, because people know us. They recognize us and remember us...Even if we don't want to be here, we are going to, because we have a network...

What do you guys think?
