I wouldn't want the responsibility of being a bookie, too much dodging of the police. I'd much rather participate.

As of now I am an interested spectator watching life passing me by. There was a time when I was active and giddy and thought the world revolved around me and I could never lose. But then life is too strong and powerful an adversary to be ignored/taken lightly and had an upper hand, eventually.
I can never be a bookie, for I am not manipulative at all. Neither can I make a fortune out of someone's loss.........

Life is in no way a spectator sport to me...I try hard to avoid watching or reading the news and I am no way a bookie...My mother-in-law was a bookie...but she made the mistake of making bets over their telephone which was a party line. When my husband came home from school one day, with the rest of his brothers and sisters, they came home to their front door broken into and their mother was no where to be found. They found out later that the R.C.M.P. had forced their way in and arrested their mother. She was charged and had to pay a fine and ended up with having a criminal record. That's why I ain't a bookie.

No one is should be either... spectator has no active participation, neither does a bookie, and players need a real goal!
I would not think life to be a spectator sport at all. Who would be paying to watch this darn soap anyways...? Deities must be extremely bored or disgusted by now....! LOL

If "spectator" and "bookie" are the only choices, I'll have to say neither. Too opinionated to be a spectator ....... Not calculating enough to make book. Besides, you'd need to have a serious lack of conscience to make money booking this thing we call LIFE..... or...... have the ability to pass yourself off as a politician.

The best description I have ever heard of Life was in an episode of House M.D. The guest star said,
"I'm going to base this moment on who I'm stuck in a room with. That's what life is; it's a series of rooms. And who we get stuck in those rooms with, adds up to what are lives are."
Season 3, Episode 12, One day, One room

I'm the Arena...
And it's a sold-out show...
(suddenly holding up both fists in the air with the index and pinkie finger sticking straight up as I give my best war-face and battle-cry...)
