was so hurt by my ex's in the past that I now rejoice at the thought of never ever..ever falling in love again.. I happen to love too much & loose the guy or get one who loves me too much and I feel resentful. Now the thought of getting into a relationship fills me with dread. Its been 5 years now, I feel content with my life but wonder if am a 'type' that's cut to be single forever or did the hurt turn into a phobia. My social life is great....but I hate the idea or even thought of ever LOVING again. What do you think?

Widows and abuse victims deserve all the help and praise society can give them. However, how many single mothers got that way by not closing their legs, or taking their pill? Also, what should society do with the boys who make babes and won't be fathers?

I believe in God. but this is my question. why exactly did he create us? was he bored one day and said "hey! i think i'll create a world with things called humans in it!" and why did he create Satan if he knew what he was gonna do? u know the little mats with roads on them and u drive the cars to get to the doll houses and things like that? well as we're playing with our dolls is he playing with us? are we just like his play toys? he could've done watever he wanted to do yet he created this crazy chaotic world. i don't get why it even exists in the first place. i mean is there really a point? he could've just put us all in heaven to begin with right? so y didn't he? this is just something that continually nags at me and bothers me. if u have any theories please do tell.

And no reason for anyone to care. Every other question i ask gets removed, even really good ones because people on yahoo answers are petty and just dumb.

I have been on this site for some time now. I must admit I am both frustrated and dismayed at the state we as humans seem to be in.
The youth keep asking the same questions we asked 20 years ago. Are we truly doomed to keep making the same mistakes generation after generation?
Every once in a while I am impressed by someones insight but I am usually horrified at the pettiness, the selfish, narrow minded state we find ourselves.
Is there any hope for us to evolve or are we doomed to become extinct sitting on the sofa eating bon bons watching reruns of American Idol?
How can we pass the wisdom of experience to the youth in a medium they will accept?

i dont. obviously you know that YOU exist. "i think therefore i am" to deny that is stupid. but how do you know that others exist and feel emotions and feel and expereince the same things that you do?? and that this isnt all a dream created from your mind.

this beleif is called solipsism. are there any good books that refute solipsism? and explains why solipsism is a self contradictory theory?? of course we can never 100% know for sure cause we can only expereince ourselves but obviously that cant be the case because it is way to farfetched and unprobable. but there must be some books written by famouse philosophers that prove that there is existence outside ourselves. there must be some proof that we can find through our subjective concioussnes that prove that there are things outside of it that prove that there other people with emotions and thoughts just like us independent from us. and if so what are they??
