If you go about your existence thinking that the only thing you know is that you are and that you have a soul, then why, when you walk around and live, should you think that the universe of humans is more significant or relevant to you than, say, a tree, or a rock?

I've been wondering this. what makes running around with the people so much better than rolling around in the grass? you can have an effect on them and they can have an effect on you, if that's even important in the first place.

Our values are also our greatest motivation, for which we spend time and money on. Some people value beauty, others honesty, others success, others their children, etc.
Every person has different values. What do you value most and what motivates you most, and for what do you spend most of your time and money on?

Why in this world do we live and breathe
There must be a god there’s so much belief
No matter your race, colour or creed
what wonderful life, tainted by greed

from big business to little its always the same
lust for the money, fortune and fame
however did we get so far out of touch,
where family and friends dont matter so much

What have we done to this wonderful Earth
where fascists and tyrranists have THE higher berths
how did it come to this, how can we out-grow?
The answer to this; is no body knows

Have we divided our society into two groups? Those who are rational empiricists and will not believe anything that they cannot observe and test OR those who are written off as fools, mentally deficient, or mentally ill? Is there no room for both reasoned thought and intuition? Must all truth come from a base of reason and rationality to the exclusion of non rational thinking? Does anyone else make a distinction between non rational and irrational thoughts or ideas? I think we are missing something if we deny what we might be sensed on a non rational and intuitive level.
