The Master of the monastery was about to die. His disciples gathered around his bed. The head monk went closer to the Master and asked, "What is the meaning if life?". The Master responded, "Life is a river". "What do you mean? Life is a river?", the monk responded.
The Master looked up at him after a moment and said, "You mean Life isn't a river?". and immediately died.

or is what is truly real one step removed from your perception of it?

or is what we call "real" -- what we infer on the basis of our senses -- still not the true "reality", but something supernatural?

Opine with reasons.

Imagine this scenario:
You either tell a lie and get lots of money. Or you can choose to tell the truth but in this case you will lose most of your money? The trick is can you explain why?
You may say this is can be expressed as the Euthyphro dilemma..

i think the only way for world peace is if all humans became extinct because humans have different ideas/opinions and people disagree with everyone with a different idea/opinion which causes lots of conflict and without humans there are no ideas/opinions to create that conflict so what do you think? and like i said people disagree so maybe you will disagree with me and start conflict

Strive always for the GOOD; but not using the 'Standards of Win or Lose' ; Instead use the 'Standard's of Right & Wrong'. Do not use your opinions; rather, use the opinions of those who debate about what 'Right & Wrong' actually means, and consider the ethics of the solution, both now , and over time.

Its to do with an article about san francisco lately and the gays were complaining(again)that their liberties were being stripped.

There were two men who lived in two different towns,
One man lived in a very conservative town, there was a norm that was pretty much adhered to and people who were very different and made to feel paranoid about it,
Having said that people felt safe and secure in their homes and life was pretty much foreseeable.

The otherman lived in a very liberal town where anything could and would go on,people werent bad natured on the whole but you could say boo without being called a bigot, there was people doing drugs and the public toilets were a meeting place for all types of sexual miscreants, but in spirit with the towns ethos it was always left go,you do your thing and i'll do mine,
As a result people in their homes werent always comfortable..

which man is better off?
this is a purely philosphical question, i tried to balance the 2 off, fill in if i didnt.

Da Vinci proved this with the Vitruvian Man which had no natural physical deformities. How whould PHI apply to a dwarf man or animal whose arms or legs are out of proportion with the rest of the body, naturally? If the whole universe and nature is designed around PHI, which would make everything perfect, then why do we have imperfections? How could that be divine?

Is there anyway a person can purely change? I mean assume a new personality and start things anew. You know, become an entirely different person and live accordingly. Or will the past come back to haunt him......
I'm 17 today and I want to undergo a change. That doesn't mean I'm an evil person or something, looking to redeem his ways. My friends see me as an innocent and humble human being. I don't want to be like that anymore
