Once I had a broken heart and I was a bit depressed, for a couple of weeks which is not characteristic of me. A very good friend told me something that changed my life drastically from that moment and I've shared it a lot with others:
Look forward and don't look back.

Never be afraid to be yourself. Agree when you agree, dare to disagree when you do disagree, Have an opinion, but realize that others have theirs too. Above all, always take into account that you are a very small part of something very large, and have respect for it.

I don't remember where I got this one : "Regretting something you've done is better than regretting something you haven't done." It seemed a very good piece of advice, but it has 2 sharp edges; it cam mislead you if you don't interpret it correctly.

Live and Let live.
Bascially just live your own life and don't worry about other peoples' problems if they have nothing to do with you. You should serve youself just as much as you serve others and strive to make yourself happy.

I was told 'it could have been worse'. For a line up of short people, always think you're not the shortest. For being poor as you are, there is one out there who is starving to death. and so forth...

1) Not to choose is to choose.
2) Choose wisely; we are the products today of the choices we've made up to and including today.
