I was like 8 years old. I used to hang out with this girl named Lilly. She was my best friend....but she only wanted to hang out with me...and I had a huge desire to be popular. I wanted to be so popular that I dumped Lilly because she was a nerd. I changed my look and everything (this happened when I was about 13) and my plan worked.....now I am popular, pretty and all that. But I haven't been talking to Lilly, and I really want to, but all of my friends don't want me to. My boyfriend doesn't want me to. I told them I could do my own thing, so I went home, planning the next day I would talk to Lilly. I haven't talked to her for 8 months. Next day, I talk to Lilly. I ask her to be friends again. Her face brightened up and invited me to her house. I went there......then she acted all weird and was like feeling my butt, shoving her hand up my shirt and trying to kiss me! I never knew she turned into something like that! She's not lesbo around other girls.....at least I don't think so....

Mine's George Clooney, he's my idol- I want to be an actor when I grow up, and he is the best actor I know. He has a great personality and he cares about people and the world.

Do spoken words create particular emotions in human beings. If we use different words that convey the same kind of meaning, will it create different emotions in us or others because we used different words to convey the meaning.

I know this question might have been asked a few times before, but how do you think it would influence us and our lives, if we knew what the future would bring? I mean, would you like to be informed about your future break-ups, and maybe even know you're gonna die?

Your search among books, word upon word, may lead you to the depths of knowledge, but it is not the way to receive the reflection of your true self.

When you have thrown off your ideas as to mind and body, the original truth will fully appear. Zen is simply the expression of truth; therefore longing and striving are not the true attitudes of Zen.

-Dogen, "The Practice of Meditation"

Who am I? We call ourself as BODY AND MIND. Always think that body does what our mind say. OK . Then we must come to a conclusion saying that "I" am is nothing but my mind. Truly because even when all the parts of our body is totally paralysed, our mind still works. Hence MIND overules. Why is that at times we say "I" am not able to control my mind? So! we have a thing that overules our mind. WHAT IS THAT "I"? Start observing your own mind from outside, you may find answers.

I always thought eternity meant time going on forever without end; so, if you went to heaven (example) for eternity, the days would pass on by without end, the infinite passing of time. If you set a stopwatch it would just keep going and going, and never stop.

But I heard my father say recently that he believed eternity to be 'beyond' time; he likened it to the moment before sudden death when your whole life flashes before your eyes, and could seem to last forever whilst actually only being only a moment long. In your head you'd live it all through again, with infinite opportunities to change events and outcomes, whilst in reality time would still be playing out at the usual pace.

I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey (he explained it a lot better). What are your views/ opinions/ theories? Obviously I (nor my father) were being overly scientific and have no evidence to bolster our observations but we were just idly musing the days away- so what's your take? Thanks!
