Suppose a given organism with a nervous system were purely mechanical, having no consciousness. What then is the purpose of pain, if the stimuli do not inform a subject but simply cause a series of biomechanical functions?

Can all neuronal activity find an explanation on the basis of biological systems, such that pain for an animal may represent to the body how to respond to the environment without awareness of representation?

"Life is unfair...to be fair." (Foundations, more previous foundations, and MORE previous foundations going back and further back.)
"No one said it would be easy...just that it would be worth it."
"To expect nothing (that way is won't hurt as much) is to accept everything."
"The most expected things come from the most unexpected people."
"It is always a gamble."
-Majority live the fake.
"Live...make the best of your time given here, extend it as much as you can, because nothing else will exist after."

My concept of "her" and very few others will immediately understand.

Well, what if I am suicidal and I would have someone kill me as my preference? Am I then allowed to kill morally?

Or what if I enjoy being urinated on? Do I "do unto others as I would have them do unto me?"

Thats why G-d's Laws are superior to this idea of morality.

Thoughts? Answers?
