My happiest memory dates back to 1997 while I was staying at the University of Wolverhampton, West Midlands in the UK for our four-week training course on Quality in Higher Education. Some 23 lecturers nationwide from Rajabhat Institutes (Rajabhat Universities now) were invited to join the project and I was one of them. I had my fondest memories there since I studied English as my major subjects for my bachelor degree and I had always kept on reading English contemporary classics, novels, essays, biographies, etc. therefore, I was tremendously delighted to visited the places I knew from English literature like Stratford-on-Avon where Shakespeare lived, it's just great to visit his home and monument with some white swans swimming in the river. We went and stayed there in July so the weather's fine with some drizzles in the morning during my way to attend the training sessions in a room at Molinuex Building. When we took a break for coffee/tea, we could go to see a good view of the Wolverhampton Football Stadium.

I still think of my happiest memories there since there's fresh air with the least pollution all day long, at night I didn't use the heater in my room, the cold weather's just perfect for my deep sleep every night. Moreover, I've met Jo, one of our trainers, and we've become friends since then. She's an associate Dean of the School of Education and we exchange our New Year's cards every year.

One particular moments stands out.
I was visiting my parents at their place in Florida. They are on the beach and have a huge deck that was, in this memory, crowded with all their friends and family. It was a beautiful calm evening and the blazing sun was slowly sinking into the Gulf of Mexico. As the sun gets closer to the horizon, everyone on the beach always stop whatever they're doing to watch the day end. At this precise moment, a figure came down the beach, walking at the water's edge playing Amazing Grace on his bagpipes.
I leaned on the rail, listening to the lone piper and watched my parents. My Dad had major heart problems and each additional year that he survived was cause for celebration. I remember thinking how content I felt and how lucky to be there with my folks, kids and friends on such a perfect night. I must have sighed out loud as a nearby person asked what I sighed for and I recall answering "This is as good as it gets."

I don't think I have a happiest memory...... I remember seeing my daughter at Kennywood Park.... and we snapped a picture of her running across the park after coming off a ride.... She was trying to get back on...... When we saw the picture.... she appeared to be running on air..... Her feet were far from the ground... and we burst out laughing because that was beautiful.........

I also remember moving into my new house..... We were burnt out of our old one and only had 1 month to find another.... We found this house and almost didn't get it because of super bad credit...... We moved in 1 day before Thanksgiving....... So, we went to thanking God and taking pictures of the "before" house.....Now, on that day, my daughter was so mad at me.... Because I wouldn't take her to the store......I have never seen a more defiant angry person.... This little 4 year old who could barely speak the language sat on the steps wtih folded arms...... and the picture turned out to be unforgettable...... she looked just beautiful in all her anger....... Today, her cheeks turn red when she sees it..... I just laugh!!!

Your sister,

Whenever I visted Palestine for the first time to see my dad and meet my family. We went to an olive orchard and there was a small patch of clovers and me and my aunt only picked four leaf clovers. I collected rocks after that and then put them infront of my daddies house. Good memory of a time whenever I was jaded and the world wasnt being destroyed.

Out in a field on a moonless night, gazing at the black sky's carpet of starlight and truly realizing how infinitesimally small my life is and yet the enormous value of its every moment. It was the difference between knowing something and really knowing something.

But can we have more than one type of happiness? Watching my son being born was a simple overwhelming joy... no thoughts necessary....

Peace

My whole memories are filled with happiness :) Of course, I've had rough times, but I wouldn't be able to recognize "happyness" from "sadness" if bad things didn't happen, so they are necessary. My whole experience would me my happiest memory :)
